Outstanding Experience at Mulga Bills – Special Thanks to Martina & Tiffany My mum and I recently dined at Mulga Bills, located near the Kangaroo Point Green Bridge in the City Botanic Gardens, and we had a truly fantastic experience from start to finish. From the moment we were seated, our server Martina was exceptional. She made sure our water was topped up straight away and returned promptly to take our order when we were ready. Drinks were delivered quickly, and the food arrived without any long wait. Martina was attentive, polite, professional, and incredibly switched-on. Her product knowledge was impressive—when I asked about the steak size (which wasn’t listed on the menu), she answered confidently without needing to check with the chef. That level of awareness and service is rare, and I highly recommend her to anyone dining at Mulga Bills. The MB3+ steak was a standout. I swapped out the chips for the cos salad, which was a great move—definitely recommend doing that. The wine list was also really interesting in a good way. I enjoy discovering new wines, and Mulga Bills offered a unique variety worth exploring. As someone with over 5 years of hospitality experience and now owning my own business, Phoenix Car Detailing, I completely understood when the manager explained they couldn’t offer the Dalrymple Estate Pinot Noir by the glass. Still, I was excited to find a venue that stocks it—it's a fantastic red. At the end of our visit, Tiffany assisted with the payment process. There were some technical issues with the card system due to wifi and telecommunication problems, but she was determined to resolve it, and her help made all the difference. She also topped up our water bottle (which we had asked Martina to leave on the table) and kindly provided me with the Operations Manager's email so I could share our positive feedback directly. Tiffany's upbeat, friendly attitude stood out. We also had a fun chat about small businesses—she was excited when I told her about mine—and we even agreed the leather menus could use a bit of TLC. After all, if you're going to use leather, it should be well cared for! I'm genuinely looking forward to the potential of working with Mulga Bills in future and possibly collaborating on something down the track. All in all, it was a fantastic dining experience and we’ll definitely be back. Huge thanks again to Martina and Tiffany for making it so enjoyable!

Are you looking for an airy and scenic venue to grab light bites and enjoy a night glass of wine or mixed drink with coworkers or friends? Consider Mulga Bill's. Located at the foot of the Kangaroo Point Bridge in the Brisbane CBD, you'll find Mulga Bill's nestled adjacent to the Brisbane River. This location affords patrons sweeping views of the river, the bridge, and Kangaroo Point in the distance. We ate here during their Happy Hour and enjoyed their pizza special ($18). They were wonderful. The crust was light, yeasty, and a pure delight. Our server told us that they are their speciality and I completely see why. The menu is geared more towards lighter fare, which absolutely makes with the open plan for the venue. I'm not sure having a full-blown dinner would really work here, as the tables are on the smaller side. It is well suited for the afterwords crowd or special gathering prior to attending a dinner cruise or to serve as a gathering point prior to catching a show in the city. It could also serve as a great locale for the start of a hens' night! The patrons appear to be well-established folks who are comfortable in their skin. They know who they are and don't need to show off. If you look closely, you can see that they are content and know what they want. The servers are helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The prices are what we have come to expect given the location along the river. Lunchtime or just before sunset would be ideal times to visit here. Don't forget to plan on arriving g for Happy Hour!

Polite and friendly servers. Host was a bit of a black hole of enthusiasm. Food came out before coffee, apologies for such from the server without prompt. Please get a shade covering those back seats the angle on which the sun comes in is ridiculous Food was like lava the bread was like a hot rock but over all wood fired eggs was tasty same with the bread once it cooled. Coffee was nice however wasn’t informed about an up charge for lactose free, why are cafe’s still doing this, everyone so hellbent on making this world of ours so inclusive…hilarious yet you forgot the group of people that don’t want to shit their pants 41 and half minutes later after drinking coffee. Recommendations: Scrap lactose milk toll Install a non view obscuring shade to the back seating area Food is good but slightly overpriced in this economy. 15% reduction is i think what most people would pay no contest for this food. There was a bit of an awkward moment at the end when i was holding my card waiting for the beep and the server had to awkwardly click no tip button. There is a time and place for tipping and cafe’s in this country shouldn’t expect it anytime soon. Overall 3.9/5 Shall return once the hype dies down for a second visit and see if it improves.

My review of Warwick Le Lagon – Vanuatu: 0 stars

Unfortunately, my experience at this resort was extremely disappointing and far below what one would expect from a place that calls itself a “resort.”

🔹 Wrong room and lack of comfort: we booked a room for myself, my husband, and our two children, but were given the wrong room, different from what we had paid for. On top of that, the shower didn’t even work, which made our stay even more frustrating.

🔹 Terrible service: the reception staff were disorganized and unfriendly. We asked for extra blankets because it was cold, and they promised to send them, but they never arrived. Whenever we needed help, service was slow or nonexistent.

🔹 Lack of care for guests: for a resort, there is a minimum level of comfort and attention that should be guaranteed, but that was not the case here. The shampoo and conditioner were provided in tiny bottles, completely insufficient for a family of four to use in a single day.

🔹 Disappointing facilities: there is no heated pool, which should be expected at a resort of this level. The rooms were uncomfortable, and combined with the poor service, the entire experience was unpleasant.

✅ Only positive point: the ocean view is truly stunning, and that is the only thing worthwhile here. Beyond that, there is nothing that justifies the price or the “resort” classification they advertise.

Conclusion: if you are coming to Vanuatu looking for rest and comfort in a true resort, I strongly recommend choosing another place. Warwick Le Lagon failed in almost every aspect of hospitality, leaving a lot...

Writing on behalf of someone's night you have ruined.

Lack of table service, waiters were extremely distant unless called even after requests and questions about wait time with the tables food. Nothing was followed up and it truly felt like the waiters saw my friends as an annoyance. As fellow workers in hospitality I understand that food isn't prepared immediately but customer service and front of house is used to bridge that gap for the customers. Not only was this not present what so ever but when my friends did receive their food it was RAW. His steak was served extremely under cooked after all previous meals were served well late even for fine dining standards disrupting his post dinner plans. The quality did not make up for how slow the meals arrived at the table.

The only saving graces of tonight was the Lamb, bread and table water the rest of the items were bland and forgetful. It was his anniversary dinner tonight, him and his partner left early and there seemed to be absolutely no remorse from the restaurant whatsoever. I hope this was a one off experience as this restaurant has great reviews and customers with amazing experiences which is why it upsets me even more that his night was nothing but. He was extremely excited to bring his girlfriend here and its such a shame that he left feeling so extremely disappointed. I have no doubt that the team works hard and is full of great people but please remember that neglecting or dropping your service for even just one table can ruin someone's week.

A very upset...
