I ordered an iced oat latte. But she made me a hot latte, and when I told her I ordered iced latte, she threw away the hot coffee she made on the spot. She started making iced lattes again, but she ran out of oatmilk and needed to open a new one. But she didn't open the oatmilk fresh and instead poured more ice. I was upset about her behavior, so I asked her why she didn't give me more oatmilk and only gave me ice. Then she said she had already made it and said she had no choice. I was so embarrassed, and even other staff in a red glasses who received my order came and ignored me and said that I hadn't ordered iced coffee. The two staff looked at each other face to face and laughed at me. The situation of ignoring that I am an Asian who is not good at English made me feel humiliated. I said I wanted to talk to her manager, and she ignored me again and said thank you. She was totally dismissive of me for this kind of behavior and saying. Her manager tried to understand me even though I was not good at English and listened to me well. And thank you for apologizing for her. Lastly, I hope you don't misunderstand that the staff in red glasses lied to the manager that I was yelling and looking for her. For your information, I ordered an iced oat latte from the cafe next door, and the iced one is...
Read moreWe went here before Wicked on a Wednesday night. The tables were full but there was no line to order food. We waited 40 minutes. At 20 minutes I asked if the food was far away and they said we’ve got a 20 minute wait on food at the moment because we’ve got take away and table. I accepted that and waited another ten minutes, the girl at the counter when I asked seemed stressed. We weren’t the only ones not happy with the wait. I went to the pay counter to complain and ask for a refund to be told that it will be out in 10 minutes. I informed the girl at the pay counter that we should’ve been told there was a 30-40 minute wait when we ordered this service was unfair, we wouldn’t have ordered, and gone somewhere else. 40 minutes for a toasted sandwich and chips is pathetic service. We arrived at 6:30, ordered at 6:30. The lockout period is 7:30. We were too rushed to eat all the food and the service was terrible. Don’t waste your time and money before a show. Very...
Read moreBeen coming here for years before a show because it's a nice atmosphere with the Melbourne Street Green and everything, but food has gone downhill in a big way. Today my family decided no more for about the third time, and to ensure it doesn't happen a fourth, put a reminder in our phones for our next show: "No QPAC cafe!". Veggie burger used to be a tasty spiced chickpea thing but now is one of those awful supermarket-style faux meat patties that pretend at being chicken but taste like nothing. The meat-eaters amongst us used to look forward to the sliders they'd enjoy before a show, but now consistently complain their burger is full of gristle. Chips used to be great and beer-battered, but now have no texture, no taste. Really sad it's slid so much, we enjoyed convening here. Hope they pick up their act again sometime but it's a good time to explore...
