Lucas 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Honestly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great, but the real star today was Lucas! I’m leaving this review because of him. I’ve never received such perfect service before.
By the way, the name "Lucas" is derived from Latin, meaning "light." Thanks to Lucas, this place shone even brighter and became even more special.
I didn’t get a chance to ask Lucas for the spelling of his name because the closing time was approaching. If I’ve misspelled it, I hope it doesn’t come off as disrespectful. I sincerely hope my mistake does not offend Lucas.
Lucas's Perfect Service
Thoughtfulness even for our dog He even brought water for our dog without us asking. It was such a thoughtful gesture that really touched us.
Endless care and attention He constantly checked to make sure we didn’t need anything, and even from a distance, he kept an eye on our table and looked after us carefully.
Perfect food descriptions He explained each dish in detail, and even the drink recommendations were spot on. It wasn’t just a simple explanation; it was clear that he took pride in the food and service.
Always a bright smile He greeted us with a bright smile from start to finish, and never once was he anything less than warm and welcoming. The best service!
The thoughtfulness of saying "thank you" in our language Lucas said "thank you" in Korean. It might seem like a small gesture, but it really touched us, and we could feel his effort to make us feel welcome.
Lucas, we are truly grateful for the kindness and effort you showed us. Thanks to you, we had an even warmer and more special time.
Food 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The steak was incredible, with a special sauce that enhanced its flavor, and the combination with the fresh vegetables was perfect. It was listed as 300g, but it felt like there was more than that. (I'm not sure, so please don’t complain if it’s different for someone else!) I was completely full and had a wonderful time.
Especially, the sauce was so good! I dipped the bread in the sauce, and it was heavenly. The sweet potato fries that came as a side were a must-order! They had the perfect balance of sweetness and a slight spice, and dipping them in the sauce was like experiencing bliss. Definitely try them!
Environment 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The restaurant had a fantastic view of the Brisbane City riverbank. We could feel both the beauty of Australian daily life and the natural surroundings, with people exercising and walking by. Personally, I don’t like noisy or stuffy restaurants, but this place had great open space, and we could enjoy a comfortable meal while breathing in fresh air.
Pet-Friendly 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
There are many pets in Australia, but not many restaurants allow pets. However, this place did, and there was no extra charge for it. We were so grateful that they welcomed our dog.
Conclusion:
The food was great, the atmosphere was wonderful, but Lucas made this place a place we will definitely return to. Lucas, you made our time perfect! Thank you so much. Thanks to you, I grew closer with the people I came with, and I really appreciated your thoughtful care and detailed explanations. I’m also really thankful for you giving water to our dog. Thank you so...
Read moreI visited recently and was impressed by the warm atmosphere and excellent service. Our waiter was attentive and everything ran smoothly but unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the same standard.
The cheese spread came with far too little bread to actually finish it, and the chutney was nice but too similar to the dried mixed fruits they had on the same board, it lacked variety.
The 24-hour slow-cooked lamb also disappointed. It was somewhat tender, but neither juicy nor falling apart the way slow-cooked lamb should be. Even lamb cooked for just five hours usually pulls apart more easily than what we were served.
The “crispy” duck breast was another disappointment it was soggy and completely overcooked. Making a proper crispy duck isn’t difficult for a chef, and I expected much better. The honey brûlée was burnt beyond saving, with the top blackened to the point of being inedible.
What made this more disappointing is that we booked through First Table and received a discount. It almost felt as if the quality was lowered because of that, which is the wrong approach. Food is my passion and I’m more than happy to spend $300–$500+ on dinner if I know the food is excellent and prepared by a chef who cares about their craft. On this night, however, we spent $125 instead of $250 thanks to the discount, and still the food was nowhere near acceptable. A discount shouldn’t mean poor quality if anything, it should be an opportunity to impress and win returning customers.
Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. Not because of the service which was genuinely great but because the food simply wasn’t at the level it needs to be. For the price point, I could have gone to Montrachet or Agnes, where the chefs have Michelin-star training and the food consistently matches the cost. If this restaurant wants to charge fine-dining prices, it needs a chef who actually cares about what leaves the kitchen, not just putting plates out for money but cooking with passion and precision. At present, the standard is embarrassing...

I sent the following email to The Jetty on 30/5/2024. I have had no response, which is deeply concerning.
Good afternoon,
I wanted to send feedback from my partner and I after dining in last night (Wednesday, May 29th).
Firstly, I’d like to say the two female waitstaff (Nim and another lovely young person), were fantastic - they were attentive, friendly, and genuine. The male staff member who seated us came across as disengaged and uninterested.
We ordered the oysters and Moreton Bay bug sliders as our entrees. The bugs were rather small, and very overcooked, making them rubbery. For our mains, my partner had the Market Fish special, the Cajun salmon. His salmon was unevenly seasoned (very heavy on one end of the fish, and virtually none on the other end), and his kipfler potatoes were undercooked. I ordered the mussels. Although the mussels themselves were cooked nicely, the ‘garlic cream and white sauce’ they came in was thin, watery, and so over salted it was actually inedible.
We chose the bread and butter pudding special and the crème brûlée for dessert, based on our waitstaff’s recommendation, and these were the absolute saving grace of the meal - delicious. For drinks, we had an old fashioned and a margarita; the old fashioned was overly sweet, and the margarita was unbalanced. We didn’t even finish them.
Whilst the meal itself was incredibly disappointing, by far the worst part is that today I have food poisoning - abdominal cramping and bloating, diarrhoea, gas, and fever. I can only surmise this came from the mussels, as our mains were the one part of the meal we didn’t share (I imagine you will want to investigate this).
This was really not the anniversary celebration either of us...
