HMAS Diamantina — Local services in Brisbane City

Very nice staff such a great experience much larger than I anticipated we really had a look spent hours reading and looking at all the naval history and surprisingly a lot of history on Dutch migrants I hope this place stays open for a long time to come it's often overlooked and underrated this is a great thing to do in Brisbane.

We are most certainly coming back here to have more of a look outside even when I was there I went through the HMAS Diamantina there are multiple levels plus it was raining so all the more to the realism of being at sea

By the way the are always welcoming new volunteers if your a person who has some free time I'm certain they would love to have you work with them

Please stop by and bring as many family and friends as you can this place is a gem

No need to book in advance unless it's a school or origination of course

Adult $18 Child $8 (under 15) Family $42-$50 (includes 2 adults and up to 3 children under 15) Pensioner, Senior and Student $15 (with valid card)

Entry doors open 10:00 AM and close at 3:00 PM Museum closes 4:00 PM SATURDAY & SUNDAY

Entry doors open 9:30 AM and close at 3:30 PM Museum closes 4:30 PM

No visitors will be given entry after 1 hour prior to the museum’s published closing time.

Simply the best, most visceral, most tactile tour I have ever been on. We happened upon the museum, on a rainy day and got a personal guided tour of the Diamantina from a salty British Naval Vet. His knowledge of the ship and her history, tinged with personal stories of his own naval experience made for an outstanding time. This isnt a day at the museum..this getting to climb around inside a living piece of history....dont think...

The H.M.A.S Diamantina was amazing last time I went there there wasn't much to see of the ship but when I went there a couple of days ago they opened up a whole new deck. I would like if you could explore the entire ship I think it would be cool. But still it's an amazing piece of history I recommend you...
