Zambrero Brisbane Mater Hospital — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Asked for pulled pork burrito from the Zombrero next to the Mater hospital. I got what was essentially a salad wrap with a smear of meat. The amount of meat i got was a tiny little scoop that was thinly smeared along the "burrito" that i honestly could not even taste amongst all the lettuce. Its about a quarter of what you get in a normal burrito or kebab. I asked for a normal amount of meat as soon as i saw the tiny bit i got, and was i told the amount is set by head office, and i would have to pay extra for a normal amount (to be able to taste the pulled pork i paid for apparently). They asked if i wanted them to remake it, which made no sense to me as they still would have given me the same grape sized scoop. So I ate my salad wrap as i hate wasting food, but I will never come here for Mexican if this is how low quality and stingy their burritos are. Unbelievable. Dissapointing. I read some of the other reviews that also talk about the lack of meat, so its not just me, but they don't seem to get it. Oh well they can just continue to lose customers to actual...

They claim to donate food to underprivileged but refused to give a glass of water in Australia???

I've been having lunch at this place 3-4 days a week since this place opened, but today guy suggested loyalty card??? I guess, I am not loyal enough. Well, a glass of water would have done it for me. I do not want a free meal, please give it to someone in need (as he claims). I suppose if hes must have been paying attention to his job, he would have known who the loyal customers are.

10/10 - Went again to the restaurant. The staff there really fail to understand the concept "Charity starts at home" I wanted to pay for nurse behind me and they made such a big fuss about it. I really have doubts about their 'charity work' they claim to do....

Absolutely disgusting and infuriating experience. I’ve never been treated with such blatant disrespect and hostility as I was at this Zambrero location. The male staff member with long hair was unbelievably rude, refused to serve me without any explanation, and made me feel completely unwelcome. His attitude was not just unprofessional—it was outright discriminatory and racist.

This kind of behaviour is appalling and has no place in any business. I walked in expecting a meal and walked out furious and humiliated. If you’re someone who values dignity and respect, STAY AWAY from this store.

Zambrero, you should be ashamed to have someone like this representing your brand. I will never return—and I urge others...
