I had the most amazing night 🌙. I met a group of about ten people at this cosy, intimate little bar for a jazz session one Sunday evening. The service was amazing friendly, warm caring and reasonable prices for drinks. The band with singer were so excellent creating the most amazing atmosphere. We telephoned and ordered pizzas in from a menu they have in house (They don't serve food) pizza place is near by. I ordered a regular supreme and it was hot and delicious and arrived about 30 minutes after ordering for $33 The decor and interior decorating of this place will have you intrigued all night, so unique interesting and homely. There are a number of different rooms the front having the bar and band all tucked away behind the front door on Stanley Street at Wooloongabba. I did have a little trouble finding it. Came here for a drink after a dinner date nearby - I was searching for a 'chill' bar, hoping to get away from the standard PUB or CLUB types of places. CYKAS was definitely a break from the norm! It's like walking into a house party - the setting is actually the inside of a house, complete with several different cozy rooms, and more casual comfy seating on furniture as opposed to bar tables.

A live DJ was pumping out some groovy nu-disco kinda tunes and basically everyone in the joint was feeling the beat. Crowd was an eclectic mix of hipsters / hippies / normies but I was glad to see there weren't any thirsty chavs or tradie types, thus no aggro vibes. Just chill people in a cool, quirky bar with good tunes.

The red headed server was rude. She had a horrible attitude when i went to go out the back to their toilets and couldn't bring my drink with me. No offence but what woman doesn't bring her drink to the bathroom with them while at a busy bar? It was heavily crowded with hepes of people so I was not leaving my drink unattended and when walking through their outdoor space to go to the toilet she stopped me to tell me absolutely no drinks outside. Fine. But when I tried to mention just going to use the facilities she interrupted saying "no drinks outside FULL STOP." After that I didn't even finish my drink and just left. No point sticking around for behaviour like that. Also kind of confusing outside/smokers area? For the life of me still couldn't figure out if people were supposed to smoke in that tiny alcove before the toilets or go outside into the literal...
