Hey Luxus Lounge (mate who got chewy on his shirt) just here to clarify our incident we had last night. Previously we have been to this lounge before and there were no problems, the shisha was alright and the service was good but we had gotten there late and could not order food in time as the kitchen closed. One of my friends informed me that one of the staff said that we were allowed to order Uber eats into the venue but we did not at that time as we decided to go after. The problem was when last night when we entered the establishment with the preconception that we were allowed outside food in the venue, so we brought our food from before with us to eat. I was not informed by any staff that we weren’t allowed to eat or bring food from outside as I was sitting on the chair waiting for my friends to order. We enjoyed the night (still no one asked us to take our food outside, if you’d like to pull footage of anyone talking to me about that I’d be glad to see). All enjoyed until I go to stand up and see gum stuck to the back of my shirt, (stuck on the chair by someone else during the night) we spoke to staff and the manager who’s attitude and the way he was talking to us came across as if he was accusing us of placing the gum there ourselves as he was saying “we clean these chairs and our staff wouldn’t have missed it as it was in an obvious place” he did offer to clean the shirt first which I appreciated but declined as I could’ve done that myself but it wasn’t after his attitude that we got annoyed we then asked if they could compensate with possibly another shisha or even a discount but the manager declined as he has every right to do but kept going on about how he doesn’t know if we did put the gum on the chair ect we then left leaving our rubbish. We apologise for leaving our rubbish but we didn’t respect the way the manager came across when talking about the gum, really ruined the night and we will not be returning. Not to mention an overcharge as me and my friends split the price on one shisha that was advertised at $38.50. I myself payed $20 with cash and my friends got charged $14.37 on each of their cards (there was 3 of us)

I recently enjoyed a dinner at Luxus Lounge, a newly opened restaurant with an Iranian and Afghan theme. This evening was particularly significant for me as it marked a turning point after a long period of personal struggles. For years, due to mental health challenges, I had refrained from socializing and hadn’t had the opportunity to experience the company of a true gentleman friend. This visit to Luxus Lounge was the first time in a long while that I was able to step out and enjoy such a social setting. It was a gentlemen’s evening filled with genuine conversation and a comfortable atmosphere, something I had missed greatly. The lounge’s setting was perfect for us to relax and chat without any pretense. It’s not every day you find a place that allows you to unwind so naturally with a friend. The evening was complemented by a beautifully presented menu, and the service was impeccable, thanks to the courteous and professional waitress. Although the Ghormeh Sabzi was not available, the Jujeh Kabab I ordered was exceptionally well-prepared, made from bone marrow. My friend enjoyed the Shishlik Ghustendi, and we both appreciated the olives and the best Shirazi Salad I’ve ever had. The Kashk-e Bademjan was another highlight of our meal. The prices were reasonable, and I was highly satisfied with the meal. The management of the restaurant by an Iranian gentleman and his Kurdish wife added to the respectful and hospitable environment. Their attention to detail and dedication to providing a welcoming atmosphere was evident. It’s important to note that Luxus Lounge has two sections: one for dining and another for shisha. The restaurant opens at six in the evening, while the shisha section opens at five. This information might be helpful for future visitors to plan their visit accordingly. Overall, the Luxus Lounge offers a unique and high-quality dining experience. I highly recommend the Jujeh Kabab and Shirazi Salad to anyone visiting. This place is a gem, combining a sophisticated vibe with a warm and inviting environment, perfect for a relaxed evening with friends.

I'm still reeling from the incredible dining experience at Luxus Lounge! As a lover of authentic Afghani cuisine, I was blown away by the flavors, quality, and hospitality. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and welcoming staff. The ambiance was cozy and intimate, perfect for a night out with family or friends. But the real magic happened when the food arrived! Every dish was a masterpiece: - Tender, juicy kebabs that melted in our mouths - Flavorful rice dishes infused with saffron and spices And then, the pièce de résistance: Knafeh! Oh, the Knafeh! A heavenly dessert of shredded phyllo, cheese, and syrup that left us speechless. Hands down, the best Knafeh I've ever had! What sets Luxus Lounge apart: - Authenticity: Every bite transported me back to Afghanistan - Quality: Fresh ingredients, expertly prepared - Service: Attentive, knowledgeable staff happy to guide us through the menu If you're craving genuine Afghani cuisine or simply looking for an exceptional dining experience, look no further than Luxus Lounge. Book your table now and get ready to be transported to the heart of Afghanistan! Will I return? Absolutely! In fact, I'm already planning my next visit. *Highly Recommended*

The female owner was very rude. Never will I set foot there.

Edit: That’s not true! We paid for one shisha and when informed we had to purchase another. We went ahead to the counter to order a second shisha, which then the owner was rude to us. We changed our minds took a refund and left. We were regular customers and really enjoyed the place/atmosphere. Sadly we won’t be going there no more.

Edit: I didn’t want to write the whole story but you asked for it.

No that is not what happened! When we ordered the first shisha we were promised to sit in a place where two non smokers can sit in the dining area and two smokers will sit in the shisha area. When paid we all then sat in the dining area waiting for our shisha to be done so that two of us will then sit in the shisha area. The owner then came up to us (before the shisha was ready) and told us that we cannot smoke while sitting in the dining area. We repeatedly told her that we know and that we were just waiting for the shisha to then transport to the shisha area. She then told us we cannot do that either as there is no room left for two people to smoke shisha. And that we had to order another one. We agreed on ordering another shisha and went to do so. We met her there and told her where exactly are we going to be seated. She said oh you have to order first. We told her that we told one of the employees we wanted the new flavour shisha - she then spoke rudely and said you have to pay repeatedly. (In a rude toned voice) We were stunned to speak and when the guy was asking us what we wanted.. we couldn’t reply as we were still processing how rude the owner was. And he also came after the situation happened. And you were saying that we ignored him to argue with the other waiter. That is false. We were explaining the bad service that we experienced and that we were surprised that we had a bad experience as mentioned before that was not our first time to luxus. Not because we were arguing about the second shisha as you implied. We all then agreed to cancel the shisha and get a refund.

Also you were saying that accommodating our group of 4 was impossible. A friend of mine was there on Thursday and asked if it was possible to celebrate a birthday in Luxus and bring balloons and one of the waitresses said it was absolutely okay. We also made a reservation and explained to sit in a table that was in the corner to not bother anyone because we had balloons. And when we came and gave you the balloons we also asked nicely was it possible if you also take the balloons to then surprise our friend or should we just leave it next to us. The waiter nicely explained that it was possible. So don’t act like we came without notice and just bugged in without giving you a heads up that is...

As much as I want to rate 5 star for the food solely but dining experience includes food, service and overall review for the place. I hope some constructive feedback improves the dining experience in future for this restaurant and enhance the visibility of Persian cuisine in Perth.

Three areas of improvement based on our dine in experience is as the following:

1- the operating time on google map needs to be corrected as in google the opening hours for the restaurant regardless of which section is used mentioned 5 pm. however on arrival we got informed that the restaurant operates from 6 pm and Shisha section operates from 5pm. Yet on that particular day (Saturday the 11th of May 2024) the shisha section was also closed without any correction/announcement for dinners. The accuracy in announcements specifically for the operation time for a new restaurant is quite crucial to build a trust in community.

2- the placement of the hotplates on all the dinner’s tables was redundant given the fact that it was portable ( not an inbuilt unit inside the table), the big size by comparison to the table size, and it was not even plugged in or getting used by at least all the tables around and include us. Due to the hight of this unit it made the table experience quite limited in terms of movement of the plates and talking to one another around the table.

3-the cashier section was quite disorganised and a cue formed right in the middle of cluttered tables. Waiting to pay was plus 20 minutes in cue and so unprofessionally managed.

Having said that, I truly hope this Persian restaurant could enhance its service to stand up to its food quality. Some other suggestions are: the menu themed mainly Persian requires a Persian atmosphere inside the restaurant or at least partial Persian presentation. For the duration of our dining, there had been only Arabic music playing however in order to create an authentic experience specially for those who are not familiar with the culture and cuisine I believe Persian theme would be much more suitable for the menu. Dining with family and pram needs to be reviewed as the placement of the tables and seating areas makes it so hard for pram to move easily between the tables and main paths and there is not enough space next to each table to place a pram. The number of tables arrangement in so close vicinity to next table makes the place cluttered and hard to navigate a path even for single individuals.

This by far is the most beautiful Persian restaurant we have in Perth in terms of food and I truly hope by addressing the dinners reviews your business grows and attracts more and more...
