I had dinner here last week, and let me tell you—this is hands down the best Indian food I’ve had for a night out in Perth! I ordered the butter chicken with basmati rice, and my friend had the lamb korma with garlic butter naan. Both were absolute perfection—solid 10/10. I literally stood up and applauded after my first spoon of the butter chicken. And that garlic butter naan? Out of this world 😭😭😭
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming as well! They noticed how much we were enjoying our meal and passed it on to the chef, who actually came out to chat with us 😭 He thanked us personally and even offered a complimentary side dish on the house! We were already so full (generous portions!) that we had to politely decline, but it honestly made the whole experience unforgettable.
As for the price: most mains are in the $20–$30 range. Our total was originally $63, but I highly recommend using EatClub for a 40% discount (image attached below). That's what we did, and the final total came to just $40 after the service fee. Incredible value. 💖
All in all, 10/10 experience. The Rise has officially become my go-to spot for Indian food. Love you guys...
Read moreWe were at Rise Restaurant @Adelaide Terrace on a Saturday night for dinner, and it was surprisingly very quiet. One lone server who looked rather unhappy - not sure if it was because she had to work on a Sat evening. We ordered: butter chicken - this was definitely different to what we have tried in other Indian restaurants. The tomato flavour was clear, but we did not taste any “butter” at all. garlic naan - I loved this - it was crispy and almost like roti prata saffron rice - could be more flavourful tandoori prawns - supposed to be “succulent large king prawns” but look at the picture - small tiny prawns on a large plate. The biggest disappointment. Goat curry - we ordered this as a subsequent add on as we were not happy with the other dishes. Turned out this indeed deserves to be “Chef’s Signature Dish”. We could taste the curry spice and there was a real kick to this dish that saved the day. Overall - so so, unlikely we will...
Read moreWe visited this bar and restaurant and ordered some starters – sheek kebab and tandoori chicken (which was boneless, more like chicken tikka). Both tasted average, nothing outstanding. The price was $18-$19
The goat biryani, price. $23, however, was quite nice – I’d give it 4/5. We also tried their in-house beer, which was good. Unfortunately, when I went back for another (Hazy Pale), the staff said it was out of stock. Later, we ordered a mango lassi, which was also unavailable.
Service was a letdown. There wasn’t a warm or friendly welcome, and no apologies or suggestions were offered when items were out of stock. Most of the time, the counter was unattended, and we had to walk up ourselves to place orders or ask questions.
Overall, decent food in parts but service and hospitality definitely...
