Unfortunately me and my partner was let down today, ordered the omelette and the Aussie breakfast and two dirty chai lattes, my partner received his breakfast and must say presentation looked great however we still hadnāt received any drinks .. 10 mins later my partner was still waiting for my breakfast to be served so he could start eating his food (drinks have arrived but in plastic cups when we are dining in?)
we waited quite patiently but it had been some time and when you go to a cafe you kind of expect to get meals at the same time or close to the time so you can eat together. so I asked one of the waiters if the omelette was arriving any time soon. No communication was brought back to me , so I felt like we had been forgotten about this time my partners food was cold and by the time my food was delivered I could tell they cooked it under a rush as the onion was still raw , the bacon was pink and their were still patches of runny yolk mixed with cheese. I honestly understand businessā under the pump or short staffed or if they accidentally forget thatās human nature, just communication or even offer a small offering to the paying customer goes a long way.
On a positive note I thought the young boy waiting and delivering on the other tables was doing a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI often drive by Espresso Bonsai, as I donāt drink a lot of coffee, but this morning my wife wanted a coffee so she asked me to stop. I approached a lovely young Brazilian girl who asked me what coffee I would like! I said do you have a coffee menu, the Barista called out quite rudely what type of coffee do you drink? The young Brazilian girl showed me the menu which read small coffee or large coffee. I said Iāll have a small and asked if they had a light milk which she said they did and I added Iād like a large as well! Thatās what was in the menu so thatās what I ordered! The Rude and getting ruder Barista said what type of coffee do you want at which point I was confused, they did not specify what they did serve but he aggressively demanded to know what I wanted. I said the small was to be a flat white and the large a Latte! When the coffee was ready I approached the Rude Barista and explained that not everyone drank a lot of coffee and their directions were vague and I thought his rude aggresive behaviour was over the top! He lifted his head back and deliberately looked down his nose at me and responded yeah, whatever! Thatās one coffee shop I will never return to! Also the coffee was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe staff are friendly and the service was quite quick but the food is overrated. I paid $18.00 for my breakfast and had the mushroom hash - which was two supermarket bought (like frozen hash browns) not even home made on the bottom topped with some pumpkin pieces, a couple of snow pea sprouts, some rocket leaves, a few mushroom pieces and some baby spinach leaves......$18.00!!!!! I also ordered an oat milk chai latte which was $5.00 or more from memory and it came out in a tiny glass (my partner got a mug of cappucino for the same price) and it had a very strange taste and smell, almost like the milk was off. Not sure what all the fuss is about with this place, but I wouldn't recommend it and won't be back. Overpriced, boring menu, nothing home made, everything on the menu has "leafy greens" - no eggs, no toast on the side.....nothing. Very disappointed. I think they need actual chefs to design a menu for them and give people their money's worth - certainly not worth the $43.50 for...
