Read moreUnfortunately we were basically forced to leave due to the reluctance to be served ‘only’ a drink. After we had spent the afternoon walking around, hot and tired, my son noticed they served shaved ice with fruit. I asked if we could order that and a drink for us, so I was upfront about our order. She reluctantly seated us. She then came back and told us that there would be a 30 minute wait as they are understaffed. I said that would be fine as we’d welcome a rest as we wait. She then returned and asked if I would prefer in a take away. I said that we were happy to wait and sit if that is ok. She then came back again and asked if I was sure I didn’t want it as take away and then added again the wait time on it. At that point I told her that we got the message that she does not want to serve us the item. I felt that she was bothered by us only ordering drinks. She seemed so unwelcoming and annoyed by us. Says a lot about her values in her business and how she...

Samir Refresher ($15.9): The drink is filled with dragonfruit chunks and the coconut syrup reminds me of my childhood when my grandfather took me to Indonesian grocery store and bought one. Its flavour is wonderful and unforgettable.
It’s a small Indonesian restaurant right next to Max Brenner on the exterior of the shopping centre.
The person who helps me order my food is meticulous and considerate that he makes sure there’s no garlic and onion in my food. Consequently, only two dishes can go without garlic, Nasi Gorang and Mie Gorang then I chose the latter and it was delicious and authentic.
In conclusion, I haven’t had Indonesian food for about a year and this is better than the Indonesian dish I had last year. However, the dishes and mocktails are expensive but superb.
Overall, definitely will come back whenever I visit Gold Coast,...
