I must express my profound dismay at my recent encounter with this establishment. Despite my explicit request for a mild spiciness, I was appalled to discover that the delivered cuisine was excessively chilly, rendering it utterly inedible. The much-anticipated chicken saagwala was an unmitigated disaster, bearing no resemblance whatsoever to authentic saag. Instead, it was a pedestrian curry inundated with an egregious amount of chili and sugar, a flagrant offense to the true recipe. It seems evident that the establishment is entirely ignorant of the authentic essence of saag. The inferior quality of the food was such that I could not finish my meal. My dissatisfaction with the establishment is profound, and I strongly caution against...

We got 2pc of meat samosa, a Chicken Madras, a Lamb Shah-Jahan and a Beef Vindaloo. All curries were watery, no thickness to the curry at all, and not great flavour either. The curries also had nothing other than the meat, no evidence of potatoes, tomatoes or anything they were potentially cooked with. The curries only saving grace was that the meat wasn't gristly or tough. The samosas were quite literally just minced beef in a puff pastry, with no hint at any other flavour than the pastry and mince, served with a ketchup & mayo sauce.

We also got two Garlic and Cheese naan and a garlic naan, these were okay, although I'm not sure what the difference was between the two as they all seemed to be...

The food here was delicious – the butter chicken, naan and saffron rice were all really enjoyable. Portion sizes were good, and the flavours were spot on.

The restaurant itself feels a little run down and dated, and at times the service seemed slightly disorganised and a bit chaotic. It’s BYO, which is great, but the ice buckets are too narrow and they didn’t have ice on hand. To their credit, the staff were lovely and went out of their way to source some ice for us, which was very much appreciated.

With just a few small adjustments and updates, this place could really reach its full potential. Overall though, tasty food and friendly service made it a...

The restaurant was empty on arrival so the food came out quickly with great service. I ordered the house curry which was the Shah-Jahan and it was without doubt one of the most flavoursome curries I have ever had. My partner had the Malai Kofta and the texture and flavour of this dish was outstanding. There is only one dessert on the menu and it finished off the meal perfectly. The restaurant is on the back street of Cooly so most people won’t even find it as they choose the beachside restaurants. I would strongly recommend Shah Jahan if you like curry so don’t let the position put you off especially if you are a foodie.

Te small restaurant with inside and outside tables. We had chosen outside sitting. And they did put gas heating for us. Service was very good. Food nice. Especially chicken tikka. Vegetable jalfrezi was yummy so as naans. We also have ordered Lamb Shan-Jahan with lamb. This meal I would give 4 stars. Creamy and it was missing some flavour but it's only our taste. We are lovers of Indian food. They do have reasonable prices for wine but we did bring own. BYO charge is $6.00 per bottle.
