Not much to redeem itself here unfortunately. This eatery is amongst a collection of restaurants/food outlets and sits in a prime spot along the Southern end of Marine parade. We picked this on Sunday midday as it is one of the few we havenât eaten in. We checked the menu and sat down at noâ1 table at the front. We chose to order up at the counter instead of the QR code on your table. Funny, on the menu, there was a typo on the drinks selection. Under TEA you can order a Matcha⌠but under Iced Drinks itâs called a Mancha? No drama, small error and it was confirmed to be a Typo. Placing an order for x3 drinks in which x1 had to be changed as they didnât have any watermelon(?). Something that should have been mentioned as there werenât a lot of people there and it was just the start of lunch. Drinks arrived about 15mins after ordering and they were so-so. Not exactly Cold though. The food was roughly 20mins after that. We ordered Signature Burger, Chicken Power bowl and Grilled Salmon fillet with a small plate of fries. Iâm sorry I have nothing good to say about this food. The Burger was Dry/tasteless, the Power bowl had Kale that hadnât been treated (massaged) and if anyone knows about preparing Kale. To make it more palatable it must be massaged to break those fibres so it doesnât taste like string bark. Kale is a great food source but unless itâs served correctly leave it in the garden. I left mine on the plate. There was also a couple of random cherry tomatoes and some sauce that wasnât on the menu description so maybe shouldnât have been included. The Salmon was the biggest disappointment. I think the photo says it all. A tiny piece of Salmon sitting on a sauce with barely a few greens around it on a huge plate. And to top it off it was Cold and RAW. This meal was not cheap and topped out just over $100. Have never worried about paying for a good meal but this was one of the worst I have had to reviewâŚ. Even the seating was bad. Far too low on the bench seats to the table and being stained and dirty definitely didnât help. Give this a wide berth as there are better...
Read moreAll around great spot for brekkie or lunch. My boyfriend and I are regulars at Cooly Food Culture going about once a week and honestly it is my favourite place to go in the tweed region. The main barista, Annie is absolutely amazing at making coffees as well and she always has great service.
Our go to feed is the breakfast burrito and the culture eggs benny and they are top tier. Other food such as the avo toast, the French toast and the açai bowls are all fantastic as well. Honestly, as someone who has lived in tweed my whole life, this place is amazing, pricing isnât too bad either. On top of the great food and service, they sell fresh bread that is made everyday and the sourdough is actually the best I have ever had.
The only aspect this place lacks in is the cold drinks, so I highly recommend the hot coffee or tea.
All in all, Cooly food culture is absolutely amazing and the staff always recognise us as regulars which is heartwarming and really make us feel like we belong. If I could give more than 5...
Read moreWorst toasted wrap Iâve had in a long time. Wrap was already wrapped in baking paper with tape on it. Put into the toaster with the paper on it so the wrap never cooked. Absolutely swimming in sauce so the wrap was inedible.
Waited ages for my wrap and hubbyâs toasted sandwich. Quiet afternoon so not busy. Hubby asked why our order taking so long. They only had one toasted sandwich maker. The staff member chose to cook her lunch before ours. The staff member taking the order was incapable of putting anything in the toaster - waited till the chef finished with a large order (which didnât require the sandwich maker).
A table we walked past had so much left over food on it. Half eaten burgers, a virtually whole poke bowl type meal. Other food going past ie nachos looked horrible - just so many corn chips.
Would not go to...
