If I could give 0 stars, I would. This was hands down the worst dining experience I’ve ever had.
We specifically booked a table and requested space for a pram, only to arrive and be told we had to sit upstairs—with no lift access. We had to carry the pram up ourselves, which completely defeated the point of booking in advance. This lack of consideration was just the beginning of what turned out to be a disaster of a night.
When our drinks finally arrived, three were missing. It took another 20 minutes and a second follow-up just to get the rest. Despite the long wait, we tried to be patient—only to find ourselves still sitting there an hour later with no food, while other tables that arrived and ordered after us were already eating.
When our meals finally did come out, three were missing again. After another 20 minutes and another follow-up, we were told there had been a mix-up with another table. No apology, just a shrug. In the end, we left with three members of our group not having received any food at all.
To top it off, when we went to pay, they tried to charge us for the three missing meals and an extra juice we didn’t order or receive.
As for the food that did show up—completely underwhelming. The nachos were a pile of refried beans with barely any corn chips and some strange-tasting meat. The “salad” was literally just raw broccoli, cauliflower, and celery—completely unseasoned and unappealing.
Staff showed zero care or urgency throughout the experience. No apology, no compensation, not even an attempt to make things right.
Terrible service, terrible food, and even worse attitude from the staff. We won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this...
Read moreDon’t go here! The menu appears Mexican but is not. Are there chefs working there who knows? Taco night in our house is more authentic than this. The quality of the food was terrible if I could review with no stars then I would. We ordered the chicken burrito which came out as baked, covered in cheese and toasted almonds next to a bed of rice that was so dry it had probably been sitting there being reheated. It was indigestible. It also came with a side salad of raw vegetables broccoli and carrot - not Mexican. My husband is pretty easy going I mean he eats my cooking for god sake and for him to not eat, says something he never ever wastes food. My daughters kids meal was a bowl of boiled chicken with some lettuce, cheese and two flour tortillas. In fact it was the same chicken just plain boiled or reheated chicken in all our food. It was discoloured no flavouring at all and smelt like boiled chicken. The young waitresses were lovely, and perhaps equally disappointed at our food. I spoke nicely to both the wait staff before the owner came out who was reluctant to speak with me and defensive when I provided her with feedback. She said we’ve been operating for 30 years… well what a shame, you would think after 30 years there would be some sort of authentic, edible Mexican food coming out of your kitchen. Standing there 6 months pregnant, with a hungry toddler and grumpy husband I offered to pay only for the drinks and some of the food and with more justification than apology the only thing she took off the bill was the burrito. $41 for nothing. What a disappointment and possibly a health risk. Save your dollars and your don’t...
Read moreQuesadilla ($20): You can choose chorizo (pork), beef (my selection) m, chicken, or frijoles (refried beans) for your Quesadilla and you can ask for not putting onions like me. Be careful Bec the plate was extremely hot that even touching while using the tissue can sometimes be a little unpleasant. Most importantly, the minced beef inside has great portions and tastes so succulent and amazing with melted cheese. It’s definitely the most delicious Quesadilla I’ve ever had.
Furthermore, all the non-alcoholic drinks cost $4 and you pay for the drink first but foods at the end. The Raspberry Lemonade is relatively sweet and a little sparkling. They do also sell Cola, Lemonade, Orange/Apple/Pineapple Juice, Ginger Ale, Lemon Limes & Bitters etc.
In conclusion, it’s surrounded by a few hotels and resorts but also near the beach and State Border Mark. The ornaments are elaborate and quite indicative of real Mexican atmosphere. Moderate prices, great service attitude. Nevertheless the only shortcoming was that she’d forgotten my food order for half an hour and Quesadilla came late but after tasting it, I felt like that never happened. Overall, it’s a...
