I recently had the pleasure of dining at Radici Pasta House in Coolangatta GC, and I cannot speak highly enough of my experience. From start to finish, everything about this restaurant was exceptional, earning it a well-deserved five-star rating.
First and foremost, the pasta dishes at Radici are absolutely divine. Each plate was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Whether it was the classic Carbonara or the rich and creamy Orchiette pasta with Italian sausage every bite was a delight for my taste buds. The pasta itself was cooked al dente, just the way it should be, and the sauces were expertly balanced, neither overpowering nor lacking in flavor.
The wine selection at Radici was equally impressive. The sommelier clearly has a deep knowledge and passion for wine, as evidenced by the carefully curated list. We opted for a bottle of red recommended by our server, and it perfectly complemented our meal. The staff was more than happy to provide guidance and suggestions, ensuring an impeccable pairing for our chosen dishes.
Before diving into the main courses, we indulged in a variety of enticing entrees. The calamari was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the bruschetta was bursting with fresh flavors. These appetizers set the tone for the exceptional culinary experience that was to follow.
Beyond the outstanding food and drink, the service at Radici was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our meal. They were prompt with their recommendations, accommodating any dietary restrictions, and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary.
In conclusion, Radici Pasta House in Coolangatta GC exceeded all expectations. The pasta dishes were simply outstanding, the wine selection was exceptional, and the entrees were a delightful prelude to the main event. Coupled with the impeccable service, dining at Radici is an experience that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a memorable and truly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIm going to be honest and give my constructive feedback. My first The impression when I walked in was nice, had a good feel. Modern and clean. When I open up the menu is when it started to turn me off. The food here is quite expensive, especially for pasta. If you are going to charge 30 + for a pasta you need to make sure that it's is going to blow your socks off. pasta itself was really well made.you can tell they are hand made and made with love. Both dishes we bought were nice. However not $30 nice. After being asked if we wanted some wine, which compliments the food I was very very reluctant paying $11 a glass for a 2018 Australian pinot noir. That is just Ludacris. Your drinks are over priced. If you will charge $11 for your cheapest wine, at least make it something decent. Love the way it is served in the pan straight from the stove. Nice touch. I have to say the pastas we had were saucy , which really made me think, where was the bread?? Nothing better then soaking up all the left over sauce from the pan with a nice bread at the end . That would of added some wow. If the pasta and wine were 25 percent cheaper this would of been near 5 star for me. But when you charge premium prices , the expectations are much higher. The service was good however, there was just too many staff on in my opinion, 7 staff with 4 tables eating. Maybe that's why they were all over us. Nothing fine dinning in terms of service, just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo disappointing! We read some fantastic reviews and were sure we were in for a fantastic meal. The staff were lovely. The manager/owner took time to talk to us about the food and wine and was very friendly. But then, the food! I ordered the pasta clams and lemon which had absolutely zero taste. I called the waitress over who was absolutely lovely , telling me that sometimes the chefs get a bit busy. She took my meal away and recommended a pasta dish with mushrooms. It looked pretty but again, lacked any real flavour. My partnerās meal Puttanesca was ok but he couldnāt taste the anchovies or the capers or the chilli if there were any.
The lack of flavour was what really astounded us.
When we went to pay the bill, the waiter was lovely and only charged us for one meal but then he went over to the manager to discuss. We were amazed. The manager turned his back on us and obviously didnāt want to discuss. . .
The waiter came back and said he was sorry, but it had been a very busy night. Not how you treat some ( very polite) customers who were dissatisfied but genuinely trying to give some constructive criticism. Donāt think...
