I ordered via Uber eats and have never paid so much for 2 burgers, chips & gravy in my life but to be fair, it’s Uber eats so there’s a surcharge but let me tell you… I was NOT disappointed. I started with the NYC Smash Burger which was one of the best smashed patty burgers I’ve had across Australia. I needed a break so cracked into the chips and gravy. Look… I think I paid $8.50 for around 19 chips which I thought was steep. Comparatively, the gravy actually tasted GOOD. Something I had not expected. And I had so much gravy I could use it for my next burger.
As I unwrapped the Deluxe Chicken Instead burger, a single tear rolled down my cheek. This was not only the largest burger I had consumed in a reasonable nature (forget 10 patty cheeseburgers or full pounders), it was also the most beautiful. Four of us ordered via Uber eats in our last night in Hobart and I had clearly won. Not wanting to shame my wife or our closest friends, I made sure they all tried this masterpiece; the chicken was tender - falling apart - and with the crispiest coating I have ever had the elation of eating, let alone hearing CRUNCH. Everyone’s response? “What the f… have I done?”
I over-ordered and one burger would’ve been ample with the small chips and gravy, however the highlight of my 2 week trip to Tassie (where we had my mothers ashes interred), was the unwrapping of the DCI burger. Do not make the mistake my family and friends made by not getting their own.
If I could have the DCI shipped 1,451km p/hr to my home in SA, I would do so each night.
I tip my hat to you. I thank you. In particular to the team working the evening of Wednesday the 24th of July, 2024. I have spent hundreds on meals. I have sadly spent thousands. $60 for 2 burgers, small chips and gravy delivered, was by no means a...
Read moreOrdered 2 burgers: The boss (beef): would not recommend this one, nothing special to remember and compare to Maccas. Description say it is “Wagyu” beef and boss sauce, but beef is real thin, not huicy, will totally dry after two bites. Boss sauce is like bbq sauce we can have in Maccas. Not worth to have it here compare with this price - $14.5 Butch cassidy (chicken): recommend this one to try, but if you can eat spicy. The spicy like a touch later after few bites. Fried chicken is such a bless, really juicy and thick. A great combination of fried chicken and cabbage. Price at $15.5 Fries: I think this one save everything, secret seasoning is really good, they have a bit of limes and thymes, after take away to home it is still crispy outside and soft inside. Get a small one at $6 but defo come back for this. Overall, the portion is as in the picture, a bit at “junior” size for me compare with mr.Burger or Burger Haus. But a plus is hamburger buns have a base sauce when they heat it up which make...
Read moreOf late I can't say I've had a burger that has fully satisfied me......until now. I was hoping for a super tasty burger and that's just what I got.
There were two of us and they happened to be having a 2 burgers for $26 deal. I went for the NYC Smash Burger while my friend went for the Boss Burger Deluxe. We also grabbed two sides (Mozorella Sticks & Onion Rings) and added a couple of milkshakes that were also discounted. All up it came to $55+ which I feel was a good deal.
The burger was so deliciously tasty that once I took a bite I just couldn't stop eating it. The Mozorella Sticks (with dipping sauce) were also very flavourful and the milkshake didn't dissappoint. This meal thoroughly filled me.
The staff member who served us was very friendly. The place looks very tidy and clean and the wait on the food was very minimal (but it wasn't very busy when we went so that probably played a part).
Boss Burger Co. has become my favourite burger joint (next I'll be trying...
