Last week , my dear Mum wished to treat me to a luncheon. After some deliberations we decided upon " take away" from the midori japanese cuisine at North Hobart. On telephoning my order through I was recieved by a gentle speaking young lady who was most helpful . Upon request she had made a recomendation of Pork dumplings to go with the Roast pork belly ramen (soup ) I had ordered. Mum had optioned for a "Vegetable set" which was suitable for Vegans. We were informed the order would take 20 minutes to prepare. I drove to the restaurant and found a convenient parking space right outside the front door.. on entering, the dining room was packed with people(presumably locals) and my order was ready to go. I did at this time have some concern about spillage of my soup into my hire car. When I arrived back at mums home , we unpacked the food from its various wrappers and were delighted to see how well it had been packaged and made spill proof. But the real test was only beginning. Not only was ALL of the food expertly prepared, but also still hot and cooked to an absolute perfection. The flavours and freshness of which Were completely satisfying , actually beyond my expectations for take away dishes. Authenticly Japanese, Prepared by Japanese Chefs. Super clean, refreshingly delectable food. I have no hesitation in recomending most highly The excellent fare from this unconspicuous ,small restaurant. On my list of things too do when on my next visit to visit my mum. This time though , it will be my treat for her... Mums the word! Well done for your team, Most impressed,...

The staff were friendly and the service was very good. Food didn't take took long to get to me. Although very good I can't say it's the best I've had. But the very reasonable pricing made up for it.
I wouldn't hesitate going again and if I was to take family and friends out as my treat then at least I know it wouldn't...
Read moreI've had sushi from here a few times, and it's fine. Tonight I added a wakame salad to my takeaway, but after I started eating it I realised that only the top half a centimetre was seaweed and the whole lower layer (well over 3/4 of the small $5 tub) was soggy lettuce! I rang them up, expecting that they would be embarrassed and offer a replacement, but nope, totally unapologetic. In addition, I realised after I left that I was overcharged for what I bought. As an aside, the staff here are Chinese, not Japanese. They even answer the phone "nihao," so they clearly cater to Chinese customers. It was a handy place to pick up sushi but I won't...
