We went for dinner and were quite disappointed. There was no mocktail option or alcohol free drink on the menu, they offered to make me one which was nice of them. But the drink seemed to just be very overpriced orange juice and some sour mix? The food took quite a long time to arrive even though it wasn’t too busy. The corn dog was overcooked, dry inside, and not worth the price. My partner said he’d rather spend the same amount on two regular sized dogs from any truck. The latkes looked like packaged hash browns. The vegetarian platter tasted ok, the bread was extremely dry too initially but they brought us some more which was a lot fresher. The platter basically was just a bunch of canned pickled things and some basic veg. I also didn’t see anything vegan on the menu, which is odd for a hipster type place. The dinner gave off the vibe of a bunch of things compiled from my fridge when I’m feeling lazy. We were excited for the diner style pie/cake but the last slice sold before 7:30. I had an affogato though, which had well made espresso in it. I’m currently not allowed to drink, so I can’t judge that aspect. Also, we came for dinner so we would be interested in coming back another time at lunch to try the sandwiches. And maybe I would go back again to try the cocktails. But I would not go back again for dinner unless it had a completely different menu. We were left hungry and...
Read moreAs soon as we walked in, we loved the NYC diner feel of this restaurant - not a laundromat! One man walked in with his bag of dirty washing, and was perplexed to see it was a restaurant. I asked one of the friendly staff if that happens often, and he said, “at least twice a day”. We so enjoyed our food and wine - we shared a ‘Poor Boy’, ‘Westfield Club’ and ‘The Schwarz’ between the four of us. Two bottles of 2022 Range Life Fiano wine went down a treat with these delightful, made fresh to order, sandwiches. Dom and the team were so friendly. I want to hear their story though as this restaurant has that ‘story’ vibe. I searched for a website so I could read their inspirations, but alas, no info. We were all so impressed and will be back with...

Their sandwiches are hands-down some of the best you’ll find in the city. We went for the veggie options and loved every bite, with the egg sandwich quickly becoming our favourite – so much flavour and such great value for the price.
A special mention goes to the waitress, who always greets us with infectious energy and her signature funny salutes – she makes every visit feel extra welcoming. This place might look unassuming, but once you step inside, you’ll discover a...
