I recently visited Billy's Central in Melbourne Central and was absolutely delighted by the experience. This café is a gem in the heart of the city, offering both a vibrant atmosphere for those who enjoy people-watching from the outdoor seating and a more tranquil indoor space for a quieter dining experience. Ambiance: Billy’s Central strikes the perfect balance between cozy and trendy. The indoor area is warm and welcoming, making it ideal for relaxing or catching up with friends, while the outdoor seating offers a great vantage point to take in the lively surroundings of Melbourne Central. 🍽 What We Had: ☕ Skinny Flat White ($4.5): This was perfectly brewed, offering that essential coffee kick. ☕ Almond Latte ($5): Rich and creamy, it’s a tasty twist for almond milk lovers. 🥤 Pulpy’s Super Green Juice ($7.8): A power-packed juice with kale, spinach, celery, lemon, cucumber, ginger, spirulina, and a sweet punch of pear—refreshing and energizing! 🍗 Chicken Waffle ($28): This dish brings together crispy fried chicken, bacon, and a fried egg atop a unique bubble waffle, garnished with fresh chilli, Asian herbs, sriracha mayo, sesame seeds, and maple syrup—a delightful medley of tastes in every bite. 🐟 Hash & Salmon ($27): Our savory highlight was the house-made crispy hash brown paired with smoked salmon rosette, poached egg, drizzled with kale pesto, topped with dill cream cheese, crispy capers, and a squeeze of fresh lemon, making each forkful wonderfully complex. Service: The service at Billy’s Central deserves a special mention. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The service was quick and efficient, which was impressive given how busy the café was. Overall: Billy’s Central is a brilliant choice for anyone looking for a great brunch or lunch spot in Melbourne. The combination of delicious food, excellent coffee, and welcoming atmosphere makes it stand out. It’s also conveniently located, making it easy to pop in during a day of shopping or sightseeing around Melbourne Central. I highly recommend Billy’s Central to locals and tourists alike. It’s definitely a place I look forward to visiting again soon!

GREAT OPTION FOR EARLY BREAKFAST WHEN SHOPPING AT EMPORIUM Discovered this gem today while hunting for a place that was open in Emporium for breakfast. Technically it's just inside Melbourne Central as you walk across the bridge from the food court level in Emporium. Great service. Our waiter explained the menu, got us started with coffee and and green tea while we worked our way through the quite extensive menu that offers all day dining. There is an inner dining area (where we sat) as a well as many more tables in the open area adjacent to the bridge walk. You can stop by just for a coffee or have a meal. There is also bench seating with laptop power supply for those digital nomads wanting to work while eating / drinking here! I ordered the "breakfast board" (see picture below) which was an interesting mix of sweet potato crumpet, soft poached egg, salmon, heirloom tomato and greens, a delicious granola and a watermelon drink... very fresh and full of flavour. A very generous serving size as well. My eating companion had a simpler toast, avocado and mushroom dish that was equally as fresh and well presented. The green tea was served in a generous-sized japanese teapot. The coffee was just right for me (I like my long black with a bite but not too bitter). The staff stopped by the table a few times to make sure everything was OK. My companion decided to have a coffee (after the green tea) as we were finishing our breakfast and the waiter thoughtfully offered the option of a takeaway coffee if we'd prefer.. great anticipatory customer focus! The restaurant is very modern and comfortable. People with mobility issues will have no problems at all as its all completely level and there are no steps and generous spaces between tables. Public toilets are just nearly in the Emporium Food Court as well as in Melbourne Central. The restaurant takes credit cards and cash. Overall - great menu, good service and a nice alternative to the Emporium Food Court.. we'll be back!

@billyscentral is where you need to be this weekend for a sumptuous brunch feast. Located inside @melbournecentral this cafe specialises in great quality coffee, breakfast and brunch dishes, both sweet and savoury, and smoothies. Everything on the menu is truly extraordinary, different and is packed with so many lovely flavours. What we had here: Tiramisu hotcakes, oh my this was absolutely indulgent, decadent and very irresistible, loved the fact that it wasn’t too sweet or intense with flavours but perfectly balanced for a yummy morning breakfast. Must try Billy Bowl, start your morning with something fresh and healthy by ordering this dish with field mushrooms, so many elements put together in a tasty way. Definitely a must try! Chicken waffle, if it’s your cheat day of the week, then must order this delicious bubble waffle, with bacon, eggs, fried chicken, Asian herbs, mayo, sesame seeds and maple syrup. Loved it. We also had a green smoothie, super filling and will keep you full for a very long time. And matcha latte and a regular latte, I’m definitely coming back for the matcha one, since it was made in the right way. Moreover, the prices are all very reasonable, compared to the best quality breakfast and brunch dishes they serve here. The service is friendly and quick and the team of staff and manager are all very lovely, attentive and kind humans. It’s located inside a shopping Center’s green oasis on the skybridge between @emporiummelbourne and @melbournecentral so you can expect only good vibes here. Highly recommend this cafe @billyscentral to all my foodie friends.

Yesterday I visited📍@billyscentral in Melbourne Central (second floor, just next to the food court) with my sister and honestly this cozy cafe exceeded my expectations!!😍

It’s the best spot for breakfast, brunch, or a coffee if you’re around the city, or before/after shopping or a movie with your friends/loved ones, also the greenery-filled corridor gives such a calm vibe which is perfect for studying or working too!🥰 It’s super convenient, relaxing, and I’d recommend booking ahead since it can get crowded during peak hours…

The food was next level 🤌🏽😭 and the staff were so friendly (which is a big deal for me because if the staff vibe isn’t good, I won’t go back no matter how good the food is 😅) You can sit inside or outside, I sat inside for the pics hehe🤭but the outside seating has such a nice chill vibe too..

🌟 So what me and my sister ordered were, (2 mains, 1 dessert, and 2 drinks);

🥐 Green Eggs & Bacon Benny – sooo good! My sister’s fav, a solid 10/10 (I noticed so many ppl ordering this which I didn’t hv to question) so you won’t regret ordering this I promise.. 🍳 Shakshuka – flavourful and came with four Turkish breads 👏 definitely my fav too… another strong 10/10 cuz it was so flavourful with poached eggs, crispy fried chickpeas, and crumbled feta and more stuffs it was really tasty… 🍰 Tiramisu Hotcake – hands down the winner🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️fluffy, rich & heavenly🤌🏽I need it again already 🤒10000/10🥞🍓🍫

The drinks were just as refreshing 🤭the iced strawberry matcha 🍓🍵 was an 8/10 that’s cuz I’m not a matcha fan sry but for my sister it was a 10 🙂‍↕️and the cappuccino is always a classic 10/10☕️🫶🏽

💯 would recommend if you're in Melbourne and looking for something aesthetic AND...
