TLDR: Not recommended for non-Koreans. Non-Koreans got treated worse than Koreans and you wouldn't even realise it unless you understand Korean.
I went there on a cold night with my Korean friend. When we arrived, I (non-Korean) asked the staff for a table in English. The staff told us that only the outside table is available. No one was sitting outside at that time and I could see some empty tables inside, but I initially thought they were reserved. So, we initially agreed to sit outside.
When the staff brought us the menu, I asked the staff whether the empty tables inside were already reserved. The staff couldn't speak English properly and seemed to have a hard time replying, so my Korean friend asked the staff in Korean. The staff replied that it was both reserved and not reserved, but she didn't seem very sure. Then, the staff went inside and not long after she came back outside to us to offer us one of the empty tables inside. While we were going inside, my friend heard the manager told the staff that the table inside was supposed to be offered to another Korean that came a bit after us, but they still let us sit inside because the staff told the manager that my friend is also Korean.
I thought this happened only to us, but I noticed this also happened to another group of non-Korean customers that came later. They were seated outside and didn't get moved inside (even though at that time I could still see some empty tables inside), whereas the other Korean groups got moved inside eventually.
I normally don't give bad reviews, but I felt very offended and disappointed knowing how they treated non-Koreans differently than Koreans, especially when it's in Melbourne. The food is also quite pricy. I definitely won't be...

My recent dining experience at this Korean restaurant was nothing short of delightful. The food, bursting with authentic flavors and served with a generous dose of hospitality, left a lasting impression on me.
From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and the tantalizing aromas of Korean cuisine. The menu showcases a wide variety of dishes that are best enjoyed in a group setting. The portions are perfect for sharing, making it an ideal spot for a communal dining experience. Whether you're dining with 6, 8, or 10 friends, Chunchun Pocha has got you covered.
During our visit, we indulged in the bibimbap with beef, a dish that was not only visually appealing but also a burst of delicious flavors with every bite. The japchae, a traditional Korean noodle dish, was another standout for us, showcasing the chef's skill in harmonizing textures and tastes.

Read moreIt is the first time to leave the review because it is time consuming and I can accept most of negative experiences at the restaurant. However, I need to leave the review for the experience we had which I cannot accept at all.
1 not recommending for non-Korean customers: I visited this restaurant with a friend who is Japanese, and unfortunately I cannot recommend it to non-Korean customers. While the female staff member with short hair seemed friendly at first because she may thought we are Korean( she was taking to us in Korean in friendly way to take a seat), she became noticeably distant when we spoke in English to order. And when we asked about the different kinds of soju available, she didn't provide us with the full list. 2: One of the employees spilled soup on my jacket, but didn't apologize or acknowledge it.
3: Wrong amount of change :when we paid in cash, the same female staff member with short hair gave us $5 less change than we were owed. While the food was good, I cannot overlook the disappointing service provided by the staff...
