East Side Story — Restaurant in Melbourne

Staff very slow to take your order with no organisation of queue. I waited quiet a long time for my food only to realise it had been given to someone else and he had bought it back to the counter. When they finally addressed me I told staff that the return wrap should of been mine. They then tried to tell me I had ordered something else.....this apparently didn't exist. The young adult behind the counter then tried to give me the wrap that had been returned and unwrapped. When I said no I would like a fresh one she could not see what was wrong with the wrap that had been handled by at least two people with no noticeable hand hygiene. By this time they had about a 8 meals and coffees on the counter and had no idea who had ordered what. Finally I got something to eat (not what I had ordered) and went to find a table. Every table was dirty and nothing had been cleared. The floor was also very dirty with lots of crumbs etc. The coffee was far too hot and burnt. After about half an hour the above young lass was walking around the cafe trying to find someone to take the food and coffee that had been made with no orders. On leaving I looked in the glass fronted fridge and their were wraps with the name that I had ordered. I don't know what they were talking about with .... the wrap that...

Stopped for breakfast while husband was having surgery. Hospital staff recommended this cafe over the one in their own hospital! I was not disappointed. Staff were super friendly. I had pancakes and a coffee and would gladly have them again. Has both indoor and outdoor dining - so plenty of seating. Has a slow paced, relax vibe to it. I ordered a latte and found myself unable to drink it from my takeaway cup even after tilting it at an aggressive angle. Nothing was coming out, so I opened the top to find that my coffee had solidified and I had to throw it away. This happened within 5-10 minutes of me getting the coffee. The ham and cheese...
