As an employee of Melbourne Airport, I take great pride and responsibility in my duty of care to customers, travellers and staff. McDonalds staffwould benefit greatly from the stepping forward program that our airport is conducting. I am absolutely appalled at the level of disrespect and lack of customer service. After a long night shift and skipping dinner, on my way to the bus I decided to stop and get some hot fries to eat in the cold walk outside. I stopped at mcdonalds t2 and ordered my fries. I waited near a frustrated patron, who was clearly running out of patience, we both watched while one of the male employees grabbed his meal, and had a chat with the female employee who was stacking cups by the doorway. I was thinking, that food has gone cold for sure.. some minutes after the same thing happened with my order he just held them confused and again asked the female employee, I knew they were mine because no one else was waiting. He called out my number and i got them-cold and stale. I called out excuse me a couple of times because there was no one out the front of the store, the female employee begrudgingly answered. I asked her if I could have fresh ones please 🙏 she took them off me blankly looked in them and said you want fresh? I said yes please. She put them on a counter behind her and kept working.... a few moments later a male employee asked her what they were and she pointed at me and said "HER" HE said something and she grabbed them to give them back to me and told me "they are fresh" I told her no theyre not, Id like some fresh ones. So he grabbed them and gave them back to me....I questioned him and said, are these the same ones? He went blank looked me in the eye and said theyre fresh! I took a bit infront of him and he walked off on me...so I put the chips on the counter and waited. Finally a manager emerged and said "you want fresh ones right?" I said yes please, I asked twice. I just want fresh hot chips. 🤷🏼♀️ he said there will be a 3 minute wait, I told him that's fine and I don't mind waiting. He was very polite. So thank you! He made me fresh hot 🍟 now, was that so hard?! Why did the manager have to do the employees job? I wasn't rude, I just requested food that was not stale. Not good enough guys. Pick up your game. Nights get busy, you probably should have more staff on, the tables and floors were really dirty too. Not a good look for...
Read moreI waited for over 30 minutes to receive my order, which is an unacceptably long wait time for a fast-food restaurant. To exacerbate matters, when my order finally arrived, one of the burgers was made incorrectly (no meat requested). Upon requesting a replacement, the staff remade the burger but mistakenly added meat to it again. This error was repeated a second time before the manager intervened and arranged for a third remake. By this point, we had waited for over 40 minutes, and the rest of our order had gone cold and was tasteless.
Furthermore, the condition of the store itself was appalling. It was filthy, which is not only unhygienic but also reflects poorly on the brand's image. Additionally, there was a distinct lack of urgency and customer service from the staff. Not once did anyone offer an apology for the mix-up or acknowledge the inconvenience we experienced. The managerial staff seemed more preoccupied with gossiping and distracting each other rather than attending to the needs of the customers. This lack of professionalism is completely unacceptable.
Following this dismal experience, I reached out to McDonald's customer service to voice my complaint and was initially met with some reassurance and the promise of reimbursement in the form of vouchers. However, despite multiple inquiries, these vouchers never arrived. Instead, I received the same generic response email with no further communication or action taken.
To put it frankly, the level of service and disregard for customer satisfaction that I encountered at McDonald's Airport II Vic was despicable. As a result of this experience, I have no intention of returning to this location...

World renowned and famous however this McDonalds worlds biggest let down and I’ve had McDonald’s in over 32 counties . With the new renovation all staff hide behind the wall in the kitchen. You walk in and 4 registers with no one to serve . I waited 19 min for a cheeseburger !!! My entire break time. Asked for a refund as I had to return to work server was slow non apologetic care factor zero . Order numbers higher than mine were called out and it was just a cheeseburger . At no point did she try find out why the order was delayed or even say to me it will be ready in a moment. It was my dinner and I wasted my break waiting and now I had no dinner and had to return to work . Slow to process the refund as she was about to put to put it through my burger came out . Squished and didn’t look fluffy like the photos . ( see below pic ) Ordered a coke no sugar 2 nights in row cups are never filled . They are 3/4 filled and when you ask them to fill it you get attitude and an eye ball roll. The second night I went back hoping for better outcome fries were cold . When I told the server she wasn’t happy to replace them . The old McDonalds ran smoother seems like the Reno has changed the level of service .
