UPDATE: popped in again today to try the iced passionfruit americano - really innovative combination of flavours which was perfect for a hot day. Definitely recommended. Added a new photo of it below so you can see the coffee/pf ratio.

Always in the lookout for another lunch option in the CBD, was pleased to finally give Plus c&C a try. It’s a cute cafe and even though it’s right in the hustle and bustle of the city it’s still got a chilled atmosphere. Big open windows and a small amount of dine in seating make it a good little spot for a bite. It was a bit of a hot day today so instead of a coffee I chose to have an iced strawberry and matcha which is one of their special creations – it was very refreshing and not too sweet and the combination of strawberry and Matcha was surprisingly very complementary together. Onto the sandwich and I had the truffle mushroom and cheese toastie – this was really delicious, the bread was crispy and perfectly toasted, the mushrooms full of flavour and a very generous amount and the cheese was not boring at all and had great flavour and was very stringy which is always fun with a toastie. A highlight was the super friendly and nice welcome from the staff, it was certainly a busy time of day even though the lunch rush was over but they still found the time to make me feel welcome with a smile and process my order efficiently. There’s lots of other great sandwich options here too so I am looking forward to coming back again to try the others including the tuna melt, the beef kimchi and maybe even the vego option. Chocolate and coffee is always a hit, especially in a creamy tiramisu to beat that post lunch slump. Or try the strawberry & matcha for something cold and light. . We had a bite of each of their toasties and they're all good, each offering something different. It was the miso eggplant that was the crowd favourite, perfect balance of textures and flavours, but not too salty. The beef & kimchi is also quite different, ground beef, a generous amount with kimchi cutting through with that spicy tang. The mushroom melt, another classic I love. His favourite though was the Reuben, done well like all the toasties the filling went up to the edge, using quality ingredients. .
