Easily one of our favorite KBBQ spots in Melbourne, The Galbi BBQ is nested on the edge of the city and offers some of the best meat AND value for money.
Here's what we usually get:
🔥 B Set (4-5 Portions, $138) With a Giant Cut Soy Marinated Beef Rib, Seafood Pancake, Premium Cube Roll, Soy Marinated Wagyu Brisket, and a Clam Soft Tofu Soup this set is not only incredibly filling but incredibly diverse.
The highlight for us of course was the Wagyu Brisket which we found was buttery and flavorful no matter if it was eaten by itself, wrapped in lettuce, or paired with rice.
The Giant Beef Ribs was delicious and arguably the star of the show - at least visually - though more difficult to cook.
Finally, an honorable mention goes to the seafood pancake which is hard to mess up but is also hard to perfect and the one here was nothing short of delightful🤤
🌶 Spicy Cold Noodles Our favourite Naengmyeon in town, this one is served with beef bone broth that you can pour in yourself. It's a perfect dish to go with a fiery BBQ! In fact, it's so good that after our first one, we had to...

We had The Galbi Set which feeds 3 people. It comes with their famous giant cut soy marinated beef rib and original beef rib, soy marinated pork rib, a clam tofu soup and 3 bowls of rice. The meat beef rib comes on a giant bone which makes it a bit hard to cook, although it’s fun to gnaw the meat off the bone afterwards. But what we loved even more than the meat was the clam tofu soup - it was so full of flavour, not overly spicy, and packed with soft tofu and clams!
We also got the seafood pancake and spicy cold noodles. The seafood pancake was pretty average, but the cold noodles were definitely a highlight of the night! It’s not spicy at all, but rather pleasantly sweet and very refreshing! I would’ve probably ordered another bowl if we weren’t so full from all the meat!
Highly recommend visiting this place, especially for the cold noodles...

Food quality: Very fresh and tasty Aussie meat, highly recommended. They’re marinated extremely well with no gamey taste nor smell. Korean dishes tasted authentic enough like they’re straight out of Korea.
Food portion / Price: Sets costs around $95, can be shared amongst 2. Due to inflation and supply chain issues, additional fresh lettuce are charged at exorbitant price of $1 per plate.
Service: But attentive despite waiters being busy, got menu or requests for additional orders within minutes. Waiters also help start bbq the meat for us, when they have capacity they’ll indicate it’s ready for eating, otherwise we’ll just use our own discretion on how well done we’d like the meat to be.
Crowd: Only opened in evenings and reservations are a must - otherwise will need wait in line in the long queues!
Payment: Cards accepted. Discounts for cash payment, we got 5%...
