3.5 stars (for dine in only) Venue: Street parking. Small shop with China decoration and red lanterns. A bit packed. --- 7/10 Service: very busy during rush hours. Order food at the table. Tap water is available. The owner, I think, was attentive even though I just kept looking at the receptio helpful staff with good attitude. --- 7.4/10 Food: easyto read the menu with some photos. Untidy food presentation. Normal portion for the prices. Choatic sequence of serving food and drinks. Whole Roast Duck takeaway is much better as I usually do takeaway. --- 7.5/10 Roast Duck Rice, $14.9: served with Chinese vegetables (choy sum) and a dip (gravy, not plum sauce). Forget this order and told us to offer a duck leg instead. Small portion of duck meat. Rice was a bit dry. --- 6/10 Singapore Stir-fried Vermicelli, $16.9: matched with the photo. There are 2 prawns, chicken, char-siu, bean sprouts, egg, spring onions, and sesame seeds. The Curry flavor wasn't strong enough. That's why the color was so plain. --- 6.5/10 Avocado Milkshake, $6.9: served late, after Vermicelli. Probably it's not popular here. Tasted honey sweet. Ok Iced Black Coffee (Vietnamese Style), $4.9: suddenly came back to ask us for a...
Read moreThey have rebranded and refurbished. It looks clean and more like hawkers. But I cannot support this business anymore. I ordered a chicken noodle soup for $17 and this is what I got. A bowl of broth, noodles and a whole lot of bones. I complained to the person at the counter and they said it was meant to be like that. The manager came over and explained that not all pieces of chicken are good pieces. Doesn't matter that every piece of chicken in that bowl was bones, no single breast or leg piece. If you've ever been gaslit, this is what it's like and for that reason I will never recommend this place or support it again. They denied all my concerns and even if that's the way the dish is meant to be, it's an insult to serve this for $17, when I could have eaten at subway, paid less and felt more satisfied. It was a waste of money and a waste of my lunch break. See the photos and judge for yourself if you want to pay $17 for a dish like this. Then make up your own mind if you want to eat...
Read moreI am only giving 2 stars because the waiter, a young man, was very nice and offered excellent service.
Otherwise I would give zero stars, because I went for the first time here yesterday, ordered hainanese chicken rice, thinking it would be nice and simple. When it arrived, the whole meal was cold, the chicken was cold and greasy, and had a smell about it that it was clearly not freshly cooked. I have had hainanese chicken rice before and it was fragrant and tender, nothing like this. The whole meal smelled of disappointment. I ate a couple pieces as I was so hungry, but couldn't make myself continue as I was afraid of getting sick.
When I went to pay, the lady at the counter was not friendly at all, barely spoke to me just gestured at the till to indicate the amount to be paid, not even asking how the meal was despite it being obvious most of it was left on the plate. Then tonight I got very ill and am concerned it could be...
