Service does not match the price. I will admit that it is a lot of little things, but added up and ruined the experience that my partner and I were so excited for (even buying a new outfit for the dinner) as we were celebrating a few accomplishments we had.
Firstly, on Sunday at 5pm it is not that busy, tell me why the server sprinted to show us our table when I was wearing heels that had been walking in the rain, going up a wooden slippery ramp to the dining room⦠thatās made me feel rushed and ridiculous and scared I would slip and fall.
Secondly as there is a strict dress code stated in the website, there was a large group next to us not dressed appropriately, looking like they just walked off the street in trackies and their kids going around bumping into our table. Not once did the staff tell them to control their children or even should have let them in as they were not dressed according to the dress code and ruined the atmosphere.
Another note is that our steaks came out BEFORE our starters, bringing our starters out during our main making the table severely cluttered, the servers making us move things on the table to fit in the starters..
I saw our server coming towards our direction from my periferal vision. It didnāt think he was coming right up to us, he saw us each put a bite of food in our mouths and then 5 seconds later still come up and ask if we wanted another drink (ours were still half full) as we had our mouths full we couldnāt talk and said no and waived him away, for him to never come back to our table once our espresso martiniās were actually finished to ask for us to get another drink (mind you we thought our starters would come first and we werenāt pleased drinking espresso martiniās during our main meal)
The servers in the dining area were hugging eachother and giggling, something I would expect in the staff room - not out in public where we could see.
A lot of lack of professionalism. If I am paying top dollar for my dinner, I expect top dollar service and unfortunately 6 Head Perth was not that. I had a better and cheaper...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBooked for my birthday at 4.45 pm on a Saturday. It was not busy yet so get seated promptly and my other 2 guests already arrived. I didnāt know and was seated at another table. We saw each other so I ended up moving to where they were seated. Ordered drinks & food but I feel our waitress wasnāt very warm at all. No smile, no greeting, just asking if we were resdy to order. Overall ordering experience felt rushed. Cocktails were good and my tartare was good, but however the waiter mixed the tartare and the egg together without asking me. I would very much prefer if he didnāt do that as I donāt like others touch my food. But I just said thank you and he left. Wagyu bresaola was okay, nothing special, just salty. Salami that ny partner ordered was okay as well, he said āI can get the same from Colesā. Our waitress said that the wagyu potatoes come with 3 pieces but she can add one more. We didnāt think that we would be charged for it as she didnāt mention but we did ($7 each). Didnāt mind as the potatoes were so good but she should have told us. My steak (250 gr grass fed new yorker) was chewy and fatty, despite my understanding that grass fed meant to be lean beef. Nothing to be raved home about, especially for the price I paid. My partnerās steak was alright as well, nothing special. We both agreed that Meat & Wine co was overall better in every aspect. The highlight was wagyu potatoes and my partner said his mac & cheese was just āedibleā. Didnāt get dessert as we were too full. At the end, there was confusion about the bill as my friend was charged for 300 gr steak when she ordered 200 gr. Took them awhile to settle the bill but they fixed it at the end. Overall it was very okay experience. For something that I looked forward to for 2 weeks, it was sub par. Didnāt have anything special for birthday and there was nowhere to mention when making a booking. It was $591 for 4 people but we did order more than usual. We wouldnāt be back and felt the experience was just subpar for what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA great addition to Perthās fine dining scene. Located at Elizabeth Quay, Perth.

Artisan Bread Heritage grain wheat, smoked Wagyu fat butter, lava salt $17
Calamari Buttermilk & confit garlic marinated, southern-style coated and fried, served with yuzu lime aioli $22
Tomahawk - 1.5kg Black Angus beef (South Australia) grass fed, hormone free, naturally marbled Angus beef $240
'Platinum' Eye of Rump - 300g, Grain Fed, 450 Days $72
Chips $10
Mac & Cheese Black garlic & truffle bechamel, truffle oil $22
Baby Gem Salad Whey rinse, burnt honey & mustard buttermilk, ricotta salata, toasted seeds, pickled onions $16
My husband also ordered 2 glasses of red wines & my adult son ordered a cocktail drink.
Everything was delightful & served beautifully. The only disappointment was one of the side dishes. We all love mac & cheese, but found their dish version tasted bland & far from what we expected. We didnāt taste cheese!
The restaurant also kindly organised a little plate of macaron to wish hubby a Happy Birthday which was a nice touch & much appreciated š
Another disappointing feature was when it came to the bill. As I was presented with the bill which was almost $600, I had to choose on the EFTPOS machine whether or not to tip. I find a few restaurants in Perth introducing this which I think is of poor taste. In Australia we do pay our staff good & reasonable rates, we pay them through the prices we pay the venue. When we are expected to pay this type of amount, I donāt appreciate having to be made embarrassed as I choose not to tip. This is not the USA.
Other than that, I would consider going again for other...
