GREAT FERRY BUT LOUSY 90MINS BUS TOUR. Use the Quokka coaches instead!! It's half the price compared to Rottnest Express 90mins bus tour which in my personal opinion is ridiculously priced in quality and service. I saw 3 different bus/coach operators.

We signed up for a 90mins day tour for 10th Nov 11.30am. The bus is all hidden at a corner once you alight from the ferry, have to ask the visitor's centre. I then realised there are 3 different bus/coach operators.

The guide sounds lively at first but towards midway, it's really a drag :( we kept yawning and its super boring to be honest. .

Can't really hear the guide well as the bus engine is horrendous if you sit at the back. And yes some lame jokes which only the guide and a few elderly laughed softly. Worse tour I ever had.

All the potential sights illustrated by the guide is IMHO imaginary. I only see one quokka thru out the 90mins. So don't bother as you can easily see tons of them at the Settlement (near the ferry port) after 1pm.

The only time you get to alight is for a 10mins photo at Cape Vlamingh(nice view :) ) and then a quick toilet break. This is the last straw for me , the guide told us we can get some coffee while those who need to go for toilet break can walk about a minute away from the coffee trunk. While waiting for less than a minute for my milk shake, the driver came and tell me there's no time for a drink. The drink was then served 10seconds later and when we board the bus, 4 other people are still not on board. Can the driver and tour guide agree on this because it just makes you 2 look really stupid to contradict each other. To think, I offered to get you both drinks. I was the first in queue so it's really dumb to rush me when the rest have to go to the toilet.

So yes, a horrendous experience with this 90 minutes bus tour. Strongly will not recommend to those I know. Don't bother wasting your money, just go for the Quokka coaches at half the price and you get to alight as and when you like and they also cover the same route or more..alight and wait 30mins for next bus or faster if its peak season(from the Quokka customer station.

Well enjoy your rottnest trip but not with Rottnest 90mins day tour. :) Quokka coaches can be booked at...

Rottnest Island is amazing and I highly recommend you go… with a different company.

Our ticket price included a pickup in front of our hotel at 8:05, and we arrived 10 minutes early and waited outside with a full view of the street in front of the hotel. At 8:10 (after 15 minutes of waiting) and no sign of the bus, it goes flying past us. We took off sprinting down the road. When we boarded I asked the driver if he saw us and asked why he didn’t stop. He didn’t even ā€œpauseā€ in front of the hotel to see if anyone was waiting outside (at the spot we were told to do so according to their website). Not a word. Not an apology, didn’t even bother to check our tickets. The silent treatment. I have mobility issues and pulled my back running to catch this bus at the nearest stoplight. Not the service I’d expect for a $115/return ticket and not a good start to the vacation. Never did receive an apology for this even after bringing it to someone else’s attention (I was just told they’d ā€œpass along my feedbackā€).

Things didn’t improve onboard when the first ship broke down and we had to make an extra stop to change ships onto a much smaller and much more crowded ship, getting us into Rottnest late.

Look, we still had a lovely and wonderful day on Rottnest. It’s a great place, and we highly recommend you go, but this shouldn’t be your ferry...

This is the only ferry service to Rottnest Island I've taken, but I absolutely enjoyed the experience so I'll happily use them again and recommend them to everyone.

Purchasing online was very simple, add-ons like bikes or snorkel are all there. Came early spring, so the weather was dodgy. Thankfully, I was able to change my reservation dates very easily online through their site. No extra cost or anything, amazing and convenient!

If you pick up a Perth brochure from any visitor centre or tourist spot, there's a coupon code in there for 15% off.

Ferry was clean and modern. Bathroom was also clean. Line up, boarding, disembarking were all easy and well organized.

As an avid biker, the bikes were good enough to do the job. I definitely understand why passengers would bring their own.

If you're hoping to see the whole island in a day and aren't experienced biking with a good amount of hills, know that Rottnest is a bit hilly, so you might want to opt for an e-bike instead.

That said, helmets and locks were provided for every bike and you get them from the vessel once you disembark.

All a really easy, streamlined operation. Rottnest...

Great ferry if you need to get to rotto, good service and easy to navigate. We wanted to come back on a earlier boat and they were accommodating. Would recommend.

We did the 90 minute adventure boat ride and the bus tour around the island. Both were great, the skipper of the boat was Malcolm who made the ride thrilling and fun but we also felt incredibly safe. Jess was our tour guide and she was very knowledgeable on the history of the island and on the wildlife we could/did see along the way. We saw seals, sea lions and a lot of osprey, sadly we didn’t see any dolphins, but it didn’t spoil the trip. Malcolm ended our ride with donuts before returning us safely to the shore. The bus was great to see the whole island, our driver was Simon and our tour guide was Shirleen, again she was very knowledgeable, friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. This was our first trip to Rottnest and we would like to go again at a later date and hire bikes, but this was a great way to see what the island has to offer. Highly recommend both.
