Please don't come again to this place, it's not the same anymore, much much worse than before
We used to come to hoe for karaoke a lot and really enjoyed it.
But tonight when we were here, it was absolutely terrible, and I don't recommend anyone to come again
First, the food was very different from before. Much less tasty, much less choice and much more expensive. The beef stick we ordered was harder than my life. Think there was an ownership change and the chef has changed as well. Also the minimum order increased from $40 to $50, no grief on this tho, coz it was clearly stated, but it'll be one of the reason I won't be coming back anymore
Second, there was only one girl working across 5-6 rooms on a busy Saturday night. This staff is polite and nice enough, but there is just not enough staff to help out considering the technical issue there is which I'll list out on the third point. Basically we asked for help, and the staff will tell us to wait, and come back in 20 mins because of how understaff it is. It is not how a business should be runned, increasing the price you charge people but cutting on staff and food quality as well.
Third, and the most important issue, is the new karaoke system. The old system has less song, but at least it worked. In this new system, the mic has very loud echo, and it would just suddenly disconnect and go to a random channel. Others could also access the song queue in our room, and some times our song just got cut off because someone else skipped the song. Then halfway through our 3 hours of karaoke room hire, the app we choose the song from just logged us out. We asked the staff and they say it's a technical issue that will be fixed soon. However, we waited for 1 hour before the staff told us that it may or may not be fixed today, and, offering us no compensation or discount, just telling us we could stay here for as long as I could. Bro, why don't I just go home and sit, why do I stay in your place if I cannot sing karaoke? It is very reasonable to provide some sort of compensation, even just a 5% discount, A, the food price is expensive because the karaoke fee is included; B, your customer just sat there and waited for one hour!
After discussing with the manager back and forth, they said they will grab us more beer to say sorry, but I was going home anyway.

The computer in our room kept crashing, and we had to wait almost half an hour for it to be fixed. Even after it was finally working, most of the songs we added to the queue got cut off halfway by the system. Then we waited an extremely long time for our food. One of my friends ordered Hainanese chicken and waited for over an hour and a half, but the food never came. During this time, we kept asking the staff, and they only replied that it was still being prepared. Eventually, around 2am, they told us the kitchen was closed. That means we had already paid but couldn’t even get the food we ordered, which is completely unfair. The staff extended our room time until 2:10am, but that was not consistent with what the front counter told us until 2.17am. Everything felt disorganized and non transparent. The manager’s attitude was also unprofessional. He said he could give us a discount at first, but later changed his mind, saying “I don’t want to anymore because you argued with me.” We believe compensation or discounts should be based on fair policy, not personal emotions. If you didn’t plan to offer any discount, you could’ve just said so directly, then we would have asked for other solutions instead. I knew you provided us with further compensation like extending the time for 20 more minutes and get the free drinks from the bar. Read moreWe recently had a Filo night at this karaoke bar, inviting many guests to ensure the event's success. The event itself went well, and we were able to make a lot of people happy. However, the issue came when it was time for payment.
I asked the manager about the payment, and he mentioned I have to talk with another manager before we left. Due to the busy night, we didn’t get paid right then. The following day, I followed up around 6:50 PM, and the manager said I would receive the payment by 7:30 PM. At around 7:20 PM, I received this message:
“Hi Jd, so the payment will be processed tomorrow as it’s the weekend and public holiday. We will send you the transaction when it’s done.”
Waiting almost two days for payment is simply unacceptable, regardless of the amount ( we agreed to get paid 100$ for the 3 of us because we like performing). As professional performers, it's about respecting our time and effort. We do this because it’s our passion, but there is no excuse for the delay in processing payments.
I strongly urge fellow performers to be cautious when working with this venue. Make sure you’re not taken advantage of. (We got paid because I called one of the departments/authorities.
