4/6/25: Can’t believe it’s been 5 months since my last visit with these beautiful people. All 3 (women) were still wonderful to this “stressed out old gay boy”. I’m soooo lucky they’re still here & still operating MAGNIFICENTLY. Feeling down? Then come here for bacon & eggs your way (I like poached & they do it superbly) & a triple shot flat white. $20! You won’t experience anything better in East Sydney. The women who serve here are the BEST food & beverage providers you’ll experience anywhere on this planet - they know what they’re doing & they actually CARE - bless them 😘👯♀️👏🏼🙏🎉 —————————————————
20/1/25: 1 year since my last post on this DIVINE establishment & it’s still my 2nd home & everything I adore about it is still the same - hooray!
This is my favourite local of my 30 years living in Sydney. If you miss it, you’re missing out. I’m soooo glad it’s walking distance from my home - I have no intention of ever cooking breakfast again 🤩🥰😘👍🏼✅😇👏🏼 xxx

Tucked away on charming Stanley Street in Darlinghurst, Bill & Toni’s isn’t just a restaurant – it’s a slice of Sydney’s culinary history. Walking through its doors feels like entering a warm family kitchen, where good food and good vibes are always on the menu.
From the moment you’re greeted, there’s a comforting sense of familiarity. The service is quick, friendly, and no-fuss – the kind of genuine hospitality that’s becoming rare. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, you’re treated like part of the extended family.
The food? Pure comfort. Their legendary spaghetti bolognese is a must – rich, perfectly seasoned, and generous in portion. The veal schnitzel is another crowd-pleaser: crispy on the outside, tender within, and served with just the right balance of sides. And of course, the free house-made orange cordial served with every meal is a nostalgic and charming touch that locals have loved for decades.
Prices are refreshingly reasonable, especially for the inner city, making it a go-to spot for students, workers, and families alike.
In a world chasing trendy menus and flashy interiors, Bill & Toni’s stands strong with its honest, hearty food and down-to-earth charm. It’s not just a restaurant – it’s a tradition.
Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) Best for: Comfort food lovers, locals craving nostalgia, and anyone who appreciates a true Sydney...
Read moreMy local for over 30 years! This café takes coffee seriously, and it shows in every cup. The beans are imported from Italy or sourced locally and roasted to perfection. Their coffee menu includes:
Espresso (Classic & Ristretto) – A bold, rich shot with a velvety crema. Perfectly balanced, neither too bitter nor too acidic. Cappuccino – Creamy, smooth, and served at the perfect temperature, topped with a delicate dusting of cocoa. Macchiato – A beautifully crafted shot of espresso "stained" with a touch of frothy milk. Affogato – A heavenly combination of espresso poured over a scoop of creamy gelato. Moka Pot Brew – A traditional Italian-style coffee, offering a deep, strong flavour. For non-coffee drinkers, they also serve freshly brewed teas, hot chocolate, and Italian sodas
Pairing coffee with authentic Italian pastries is a must here. Some standout options include:
Cornetto alla Crema – A flaky, buttery croissant filled with luscious pastry cream. Tiramisu – A divine dessert with layers of espresso-soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone. Cannoli – Crisp pastry tubes filled with sweet ricotta, often topped with pistachios or chocolate chips. Pizzette & Panini – For those craving something savoury, their freshly made sandwiches with prosciutto, mozzarella, and sun-dried tomatoes...
