We went to breakfast at an Italian restaurant next door to our accommodation. We were immediately pleased with the atmosphere of the place, and seated ourselves at a table toward the front of the venue. We were mildly dismayed when the owners opened the door and windows wide to the busy street outside, admitting the roar of traffic. Fortunately it also let in an agreeable breeze which, in conjunction with the service and atmosphere, still managed to tip the scales toward favorable. I ordered a cappuccino along with a ham and cheese croissant, and both were so outstanding that the din of the street was forgotten entirely. I also noticed that the small tables along the wall were made from oversized, rounded cutting boards with the handle and strings still attached, and the lights in the ceiling were overturned tea cups on saucers, which was an artful touch and lent the place its unique character. We returned the following morning and shared the last chocolate croissant they had left, which was still fresh and flakey. We were joined this morning by two others who were compelled to try the cappuccinos for themselves despite not being big coffee drinkers, and were not disappointed. The staff were warm and friendly, and we agreed that the venue was far and away the best thing about our present accommodation and stay.

Had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Caffe Amici. Atmosphere and service were just what we were looking for: reminded me of a little family-run Ristorante in Florence. The food was prepared by the lovely couple, right in front of us in the open kitchen. The pasta and pizza were delicious and made with fresh ingredients. We were even offered a piece of tiramisu on the house, but had to decline as we were too full! (Perhaps the hostess was impressed that we were able to eat all the food we ordered.) šŸ˜‹ It's clear that the owners take genuine pride in their business, as reflected in the food, service and presentation of the restaurant. Overall, could not be happier and will definitely be back again to try the tiramisu! Thank you for a lovely evening and we look forward to visiting again. šŸ™‚

A Hidden Surprise on Kent Street!, tucked away on Kent Street is this Lovely Italian CafƩ, with Amazing Staff and cooks who were afraid to have a quick Chat and listen as we paid up the bill, or the Amazing Food! we stopped for Breakfast and a Coffee on a Whim and Couldn't be more surprised by our choice! The Food Options were reasonably priced with excellent quality and Generous portions, the Mushrooms were our Particular favourite, that and the Coffee which was Beyond anything I thought I could find outside my Italian family's Coffee Collection! the Cook and staff were very personable and came out to chat and explain menu items. This Place is a Must Visit Gem On Kent Street for anyone looking for Good Coffee and Delicious Meal at Affordable prices for a Wonderful Start to any day!

If there was a way to rate 10 starts on google… this would be it!! This wonderful afternoon my 11 year old insisted on heading to Amici because she somehow knew there must be something very special about this place. And the reality was hands down the best ever experience EVER! Hannah didnt just feed us with the most delicious pasta and mouth watering Tiramisu, she did it like we’ve never ever experienced before !! She’s not just a restaurateur, she’s a host and entertainer with such flair and humour that she made our cheeks hurt with laughter and kept surprising us around every corner! Like serving tiramisu with a dash of frangelico which absolutely blew my mind ! That was just one thing and I can’t list down how much of a big fan I and my kid have become of Hannah’s place. My kid just told me that this HAS to be the place to eat each and every time we came to the city. Absolutely love it! Tonnes of respect and gratitude for Hannah for showing is how much more a simple Italian restaurant can really...

Decided to take my gf here for her bday as we were staying near by and it had great reviews. Unfortunately it was very underwhelming. I’m not sure if a lot of the reviews are fake but no way this place is in the top 10 restaurants in Sydney. The fact that there were only a handful of people having dinner on a Friday night with such a highly rated restaurant makes me think they are. The guy at the front desk was very nice but that’s about it.

Pro’s- Front of house was nice and it was easy to get a table.

Con’s- the pasta tastes like packet pasta from Coles. Sauce lacked flavour. I had the pepperoni pizza and while it was ok the texture had more of a frozen pizza than freshly made. No bubbling on the crust. Very firm and not worth the money.

I hate leaving negative reviews but I felt like people...
