Just stopped by Khao Kang today (July 22, 2025) for a quick lunch, and I'm already planning my next visit! If you're craving authentic and flavourful Thai, this spot is a must-try. I ordered the Chilli Basil Combo, and it did not disappoint. From the moment it arrived, it looked incredibly tasty – the colours were vibrant and enticing. Taking the first bite, I was met with that perfect kick; it was wonderfully spicy without being overwhelming, just how I like it. Proper Thai food – hidden gem in Chatswood! 🇹🇭 I’m Thai, and let me tell you — this place hits the spot. Khao Kang Thai might be tucked away in the Chatswood food court. Full of real Thai flavours, no shortcuts, just proper home-style cooking like you’d get back in Thailand.

The dishes are rich, spicy, and perfectly balanced — nothing watered down. You can tell it’s made by people who actually know and care about Thai food. I had the crispy pork with basil and the green curry — both were seriously good. Flavours were deep, punchy, and super satisfying.

Friendly service too, fast and genuine. Honestly feels like one of those places Thai people keep to themselves because it’s that good....

I had "Khao Soi Luang Prabang" which is different from Khao Soi I had in Thailand. Its clear, aromatic, and savoury soup is definitely THE BEST hangover soup you must have after the long party night. Taste exactly like what I had back in Luang Prabang a few years ago.
