To complement the event the sommelier created a mocktail named diamonds and pearls to celebrate our pearl anniversary. The extensive bar list offered a variety of options, ensuring there was something to suit every preference. First time and last time will ever be coming to this place. I'm usually not a person to write a complain but this I needed to write about. The manager started with us nicely but that didn't last long.. We waited a long time for our order to come. We ordered the meat platter it was aesthetically pleasing however it didn't taste good as the meat was very off and we could smell it and did not taste fresh at all. After speaking to the waitress she said she will get the manager to come and assist us. However, when the manager came we told her the issue about the meat being off, she kept saying no the meat is not off. She didn't bother with making other alternative option instead she was trying to make us believe that there was nothing wrong with the meat. You can't force someone to eat something that tastes OFF. All she did was a refund of the platter which we were happy to pay for it however if she could change the meat selection which she did not offer!. After complaining about the meat being off she asked us to move along and take the table booking off us.. This place is lacking basic customer service skills. They TRY to appear classy however their customer service is very POOR and I would not recommend anyone to go there. The night didn't stop there, so we ended up going to a much better place with a better...

The bar/lounge Parramatta has been crying out for. Walked in here on the off chance and was blown away. From the welcoming greeting of the doorman, along the red carpet and up the stairs to the lounge, the Heritage Lounge is going to become the gold standard in Parramatta. Immaculate décor, mostly international beers and a stunning array of top shelf spirits, all served in the appropriate glassware, Staff are friendly, immaculately turned out, and know their drinks. Ordered a round of drinks at the bar, expecting to have to get a loan, only to find out that the pricing is on par with everywhere else in the suburbs. Waiter promptly brought them over to our seats, along with a serving of nuts, which were replenished the moment they were finished. We had a few more beers, and then sampled some of their vast array of whisky's. Scotch whisky served in proper Glencairn glass. Never seen this in Aus before. No pokies or TAB, which is a refreshing change, as most bars/hotels rely on these to boost their revenue, often at the detriment to their bar service. Not going to happen here, the Heritage Lounge is running a premium bar, and doing it properly. I'm heading back home to the UK next week, and just wish I'd have found this...
