Food is not the issue, for me, at McDonald's, but staff are. Of course, there are exceptions, and they always have my appreciation for holding on to some standards in the general culture of indifference, if not actual rudeness. Yesterday (November 24, 2021), as usual, I went to get my coffee from the McDonald's inside Westfield, Liverpool.. The girl at the one functioning service window abruptly left it, after serving the customer before me, without even a nod, and I was just left standing there. As I was waiting, not knowing if that window would be continued to be served or not, another assistant suddenly turned up at the next window and started serving a just-arrived group of 3 customers from there even though he saw me waiting at the first (where I had been standing alone for 7-8 minutes already, being the only one before the new group turned up). When I saw that my window was still not being attended while he started serving a fourth customer, i complained and asked to see the manager. The latter showed up after I had been waiting for a good 15 minutes by now, only to berate me for wasting his time, as if they were not the ones that had wasted MY time! McDonald's customers spread themselves all over the place blocking the passage of other Westfield customers because there's no indication of which is the queue for what and service windows open and close arbitrarily. The unprofessional behavior of the staff does not inspire confidence. I think if the staff were more efficient and less ignorant of what a courteous culture is, things could be improved. For instance, what stops McDonald's from designating a friendly, mature person to guide customers on where to stand while waiting and to streamline service so that customers don't have to fight for their place in the queue or to complain that the 'extra-hot' coffee that was ordered always comes out lukewarm (Yeah, I know all about the history of their 60 degree max heat policy - my question is why then is extra-hot coming to me always seemingly at 30 degrees! If you don't want to serve hot coffee, fine, that's your right. But why mislead by offering 'extra-hot'? Just specify upfront at what temperature it will not be served beyond). But in the end, after attempting to shame me (in front of his staff and other customers) for asking to see him, the manager did offer me a refund and I ended up settling for a hot cup of coffee, instead, which was a first for me from McDonald's and for which I am giving it the 2 stars above, instead of one because there's a hope that it may be an indication that at least senior management could be responsive to customer complaints? At the end of the day, was McDonald's worth it for me? The food might still warrant a yes but the behavior of the staff says NO. I suppose customers have only themselves to blame for standing in line expecting FAIR and EQUAL service from persons who have no idea what that means, and instead of caring to find out, simply prefer to aggress on customers. Way to go, staff! Hope you don't bring your...
Read morei order here a lot and this is the 3rd time where I’ve ordered the aussie angus burger and it’s been missing almost all of the products on it that make it the burger, for example the beetroot, tomatoes and bacon. Literally got more of a cheeseburger with a couple of stray pieces of soggy lettuce then anything.
Not only that but they also gave me and my partner food poisoning??? Ordered on the 28/02/24 and instantly after it my stomach was going crazy so just a heads up to double check the meat and for people who ordered on this date to see the doctor because I remember it tasting a little sour🤢 shaky, on the verge of passing out, headache and running to the bathroom every so often.
Tried get a refund though Uber but they said I couldn’t because I have reported this restaurant too much to get refunds but the thing is they mess up the orders too much so erm what now ????????????
If you’re looking for a $12 burger with off sour tasting meat that is laced with poison and missing almost all of the product it comes with go to this maccas at Liverpool Westfields🤙
My honest suggestion as someone who also works minimum wage at a restaurant is that you guys should retrain staff and show them how to actually read dockets and to also check the dates of the meat because this is just embarrassing.
Edit: I have contracted...
Read moreFrom time to time, I go to McDonalds like any usual customer to buy myself some lunch. What I didn't expect was that they would deliberately take out the 'fast' out of fast food restaurant. I mean seriously, I waited 20-25mins for a large orange juice. I get that it's fairly busy but seriously this is by far the worst McDonalds in Liverpool. Another time which was about a week ago from now, I ordered a Large triple Cheeseburger Meal and have waited a shocking 30 minutes for my meal but regardless, I get the meal and turns out that they replaced my triple-cheeseburger for an ordinary one without any explanation whatsoever. I guess the only thing that doesn't take an eternity to order from this menu would have to be the desserts but other than that, if you order anything else besides that then you best be waiting for GTA 6 to come out before your food does. It seems like most of the workers at this McDonald's simply don't care because they'd rather be chatting and messing about when it starts to pack up customers. At this point in time, you're better off eating at Ali Baba's Kebabs and drinking the soup grease that comes out of their kebabs to get better health benefits than this...
