Supreme Soup — Restaurant in Sydney

I contemplated writing this review for 2 weeks but I came to the conclusion that it was a serious enough health issue.

I had come here upon recommendation that this was a great spot for some hearty soup. Originally, I intended on trying a different soup but because it was unavailable, the waitress suggested an alternative. When it came out, it was unsuspecting but after 2 sips, I had noticed these floating objects that looked like small bugs but it was initially hard to discern.

After asking my friend for a second opinion, we decided to ask the waitress for her opinion. To which she dismissed our remarks and casually replied that it was a part of the chinese herb they used and pointed to it in the display cabinet. I was still skeptical and went to look at the display when I noticed live bugs crawling around in there, which confirmed my suspicions. After waiting an additional 15 minutes, we raised the concern again and pointed out the bugs in the display which then motivated her enough to give us a refund.

Friendly service, nice clean restaurant and great tasting soup! You can see and taste the effort gone into making these soups. It is a cleaner tasting healthy soup - different to most other shops around Burwood eg malatang etc. FYI the rice dishes come in a steamer basket, so don't make the mistake we did of instinctively spooning soup into the rice. It'll go everywhere into the tray! Also they had a few high chairs - clean and easy enough to use. Probably not too much space for prams when it gets busy.

Walked past this restaurant a few times when I’ve been in Burwood and had always been interested in trying.

One winter night we decided to go there and try their soups. The soups definitely met expectations and were perfect for a cold winters night.

The chicken soup was very good and could have that all the time. The soup with coconut pieces was also very tasty.

Sides were great, had the chicken with sticky rice, scallops and prawn paste. All went well with the soup dishes we ordered.

Very reasonably priced for what you get and we were very full and satisfied afterwards. Will definitely be back again to try the other soups they have, but will be hard to go past the chicken and...
