Thanks to First Table we were checking out this restaurant for an evening meal. The result was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!! We had the fried chicken, pork belly, burrata, chicken pate, pulled apart bread, and grilled brocolini, which were all so delicious, especially the pork belly and the brocolini. The pate was also a highlight starter. The pulled apart bread was even hot like it just came out of the oven! We were extremely satisfied with the quality of our meal. Can't end without a note to the drinks obviously since it's a bar, but even the mocktails were very well made! Kudos to that! Compliments to the chef, the bar tender, and the friendly front house team for such a beautiful experience of the evening! We will see you again soon!

Worst experience ever..Went for Melbourne cup race - too cramped up and inappropriate for larger crowds. Hidden in a corner of Erskine street, the place is difficult to locate and extended to 3 levels.. so be careful of the narrow stairs if you're wearing high heels! Service was extremely poor with "pre ordered" food served almost 2 hrs later than the booking time! I ordered a pumpkin quinoa salad and what a disappintment..had only few bits of pumpkin or quinoa or cheese in the entire dish! Overall too portion size was small for the price on the menu. Absolute no no for me- won't visit the place ever again.

Mediocre bar. Food is reasonably priced but only reasonably tasty. The guacamole for example is obviously an attempt at Asian fusion food, however it’s pretty much just eating avocado that tastes like sesame oil. Not bad, just not what you expect and not in a refreshing way, just an odd way. Cocktails were also just ok. The place had a constant but fluctuating in strength smell of sewerage drain which is due to the old fixtures. That is not the bar’s fault at all, it’s just a bit off putting when eating. The beer selection was good.

I held my boyfriends birthday party here last weekend. Although I was happy with certain aspects such as the venue itself and its warm atmosphere, I was disappointed in quite a few ways. We had picked out the food to receive as part of the package we paid for, and as per a number of guests feedback, many (if not all?) did not receive the popcorn cauliflower. Guests also mentioned not feeling there was much food and left feeling hungry, after being reassured by the owner upon booking that food is never an issue. It was a hassle to get a knife to cut the birthday cake and when it came to ten minutes prior to our bottomless drinks ending, bartenders stopped serving guests which made many unhappy. Gemma upstairs was friendly and did a great job, however found the other server to be quite rude and not understanding. I tried explaining some of my concerns the night of, but felt like I wasn't heard and once the bill was paid, shuffled out the door. The owner also told me he would call on the Monday (now Wednesday) to check in on how our experience was but I never got a call. It has the potential to be a good venue for events but with issues such as these, I personally left feeling disappointed and would probably not have another event here...

We had a pleasure of holding my partner’s 60th birthday party last weekend which went very well. We had the exclusive use of the ground floor bar which has a great ambience and character - so much better than some big cavernous room to hold a function. The manager, Akash, had been very helpful in planning the event, and the staff on the night were friendly and efficient. Everyone who attended had a great time. We found their selection of finger food ( we chose the top package consisting of total of 10 different items) all tasty and plentiful, all served in a timely manner. The beverage selection were extensive and excellent. ( My partner and mates indulged in some very special rare Japanese whisky and throughly enjoyed it, while the others loved their well made cocktails!) I also add that I found their bathroom spotless, a really nice surprise after the previous evening’s experience at a high end restaurant with the bathroom in a horrible mess. Goes to prove their level of commitment to providing a great service for their customers, and I would highly recommend the place for any function or a nice evening of intimate or big group...

Had relatively high expectations which were unfortunately shattered this week. A wednesday afternoon visit for lunch where you just want a good meal and nice drinks at a nice venue. However, the advertised Wagu beef burger was definitely NOT Wagu, the beer tap lines were not clean and the service was strange! One waiter only, making drinks, service AND making the food! He spoke very quietly and muffled that every time he said something we had to ask him to repeat himself to understand. He kept putting drinks down on the table instead of the drink coasters. The worst thing was when we asked for the bill, he simply put out the card machine and said tap here. We were shocked and said we wanted an actual bill to which he turned around an ipad in his hand which had the bill down the side with the floor plan too however we could barely read it! He then asked if we wanted to split it, as if that was the issue. The whole experience just felt strange, unprofessional, lacked standards. We didn't even attempt at ordering a whiskey as we didn't trust the service! A positive, the...
