I recently visited Coffee Emporium in Liverpool Westfield with the intention of enjoying a good cup of coffee, but my experience left me quite disappointed. From the moment I approached the counter, the service was lacking.
The staff member assisting me, a young woman with bold pink eyeshadow, seemed disengaged and unwelcoming. As I attempted to place my order, I was met with a startling refusal to serve me. This interaction stemmed from a previous incident involving my mother, who had an unfortunate experience where her coffee and toast were served burnt. When she kindly requested a replacement, she was met with a rather dismissive response from the owner, who stated that redoing the order was costing him money.
This situation raises some significant concerns about customer service and food quality. Charging $8 for a simple slice of toast is already questionable, but to serve it burnt and hesitate to rectify the mistake is simply unacceptable. The refusal of service based on a family member's complaint is not only unprofessional but also discriminatory.
I find it appalling that a business would treat customers this way, disregarding their concerns and previous encounters. It reflects poorly on the establishment's values and their commitment to customer satisfaction. I will be taking this matter further by writing to the head office, as no one should have to endure such treatment at any café, let alone one that charges premium prices.
In summary, my experience at Coffee Emporium was extremely disappointing due to poor service and a lack of accountability. I cannot recommend this café based on my experience, and I urge management to reassess their customer service approach and...
Read moreUsually good, but today lunch I had a very bad experience 03/11/23, we ordered 2 eggs benedict salmon and 1 big breakfast, it to took 40-50 minutes to get our meal, i noticed other people who came afterwards were getting their meals before us, after 30 minutes I asked if they remembered our meals, she said 2 minutes, another 10 minutes later, my husband and son finally got their meals and another 10 minutes I got my meal and my husband and son were nearly finished with their meals by the time I got my meal, ridiculous, I think the cook had an attitude problem because I inquired after 30 minutes and was doing other people's orders club sandwiches and toast, she needs to cook people's food who came first not after and they ran out of table numbers, because the young girl serving was slow at cleaning tables and they didn't give us a number that probably caused further delays who knows 50 minutes also I notice the way they do poached eggs is very slow they need a better and faster way to...
Read moreWe decided to go for brunch here. Customer service was appalling. You can’t even email or call to book as both means are invalid to contact them. I am waiting to order and not one person at the counter pays attention to me. I am there waiting 2-3 minutes to get a table. The food takes forever to come out. By that, I mean, for four people, it took about 35 minutes to an hour to bring out food when we all ordered at the same time. I ordered an Iced Matcha Frappe. I was disappointed that it came in a takeaway cup. I did say I was dining in. I also ordered a Salmon on Sourdough. Everything was fine, except that the sourdough was very tough to cut down into with my knife. I was not impressed. It is better off money wise just to spend my $30 worth upstairs at Vine and Grind. P.S. Surcharge on...
