The Coffee Club — Restaurant in Sydney

Today my partner and I went to this place to get something eat as we haven’t been here before, as we normally do we say table for two and we obviously wait for someone to come over to us to take our order, I called someone to come over and said that we are ready order and the guy said that you have to order at the counter, so I got up and said to the lady “that we were ready to order and you never told us that we had to order here, my partner and was actually going to get up and leave” and all she said was sorry, so I order our lunch and sat down, my partner got his drink that tasted like watered down orange juice I got my coffee that was made but not hot enough, then we got our lunch where my partner ordered the classic cheeseburger and we took of some of the stuff that was on there, his food came out with bbq sauce and bacon that was not meant to be on there so we sent it back to have what was what we ordered, then he got it back with onions and again we sent it to get it taken off his chips was not freshly mad and the burger itself was not nice either, my lunch came out as well I had the fried chicken Caesar that didn’t taste nice at all and my chips was not freshly mad either, so I wish I could give this -0 but I can’t.. never ever will I ever eat from this place nor would I ever get a coffee...

I have always enjoyed the coffee club regardless of where they are located, except this time I was with a friend looking at the menu online via the code. When 1 of the wait staff approached us to ask how many people were in my party, I said just us two. She then without even a hesitation or thought, proceeded to ask us to move to another table as there was a group of 4 who had just arrived. I was astonished and looked around the restaurant and saw several tables for 2 towards the front of the restaurant empty. Now common sense would have to come to a person to think why not move these current tables together and accommodate the group who were walk ins just like us instead of showing preference and asking already seated guest to move.

Well we did move we moved right out of there and will never consider ever going back. Ignorance thrives at the Liverpool coffee club. absolutely pathetic they should be...

UPDATE 9/9/25 - went from 5 stars to 1. Today was in at the Coffee Club Liverpool, somewhere we would go regularly for the last 14 years. I ordered just plain toast as I have been nauseous the last week and needed to try and eat something. It got to 30minutes of waiting and nothing had been bought out. Why didn't I go up and ask sooner? Because thats not on me, you guys werent busy, the time I was there, less than half of the seats were filled. And a simple buttered toast was missed somehow. Got my refund and went elsewhere. Bring back the previous owners/managers because they knew what they were doing. The place has gone to hell since the new people have come in. So 14 years of this place being a favourite, will not be returning.
