Feedback on Marana Mass Event – March 1, 2025**
Dear team and attendce
I am writing to share my feedback and concerns regarding the Marana Mass Tamil music show that took place on March 1, 2025, in Sydney. As a fan of Tamil music and culture, I was looking forward to this event, but my experience was regrettably marred by a series of unfortunate interactions and organizational issues.
Upon my arrival, I quickly sensed a lack of coordination among the event staff, which contributed to a frustrating atmosphere. I encountered significant challenges with the security team, which added to the overall confusion. What should have been a vibrant celebration became overshadowed by negative interactions.
One particular incident stood out, where I was confronted by one of the main organizers regarding my video recordings of the performances. I had taken video footage of some of my friends dancing and the audience enjoying the DJ show, which I thought was a normal part of participating in such events. However, I was met with hostility rather than understanding. This interaction not only caught me off guard but was also deeply upsetting. I felt that I was being unfairly singled out for simply trying to capture memories of a cultural celebration.
What troubled me most was the rudeness displayed by the staff member. Even though I understand that language barriers can create misunderstandings, being shouted at in Tamil—which I do understand as a Sri Lankan—made the situation even more hurtful. I came to Sydney to enjoy the Tamil show and to immerse myself in a community I cherish, not to feel belittled or unwelcome.
As someone who respects women and recognizes their crucial role in event management, I feel compelled to say that the lack of professionalism I experienced was disheartening. I believe that mutual respect should be the foundation of any event, regardless of the challenges faced in organizing it. It is essential to remember that how we treat attendees can have a lasting impact on their experience and perception of the event.
Despite the negative aspects of my experience, I want to acknowledge the performances and the efforts of those who participated in the show. I genuinely appreciate the talent and dedication that went into the event. However, this appreciation is overshadowed by the negative interactions I faced, which I hope can be addressed for future events.
In closing, I urge the organizers to reflect on this feedback and strive to create a more inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment for all attendees, regardless of their background. Nobody should leave an event feeling disrespected or unwelcome, and I sincerely hope that no one else has to endure a similar experience.
Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns. I genuinely hope that this feedback can contribute to making future events more enjoyable for everyone.
Sincerely, Manjula...

Let me start by saying that the food at Rawson Bar and Restaurant is undeniably excellent – creative, full of flavor, beautifully presented – the kind of meal you remember long after the plates are cleared. But the real reason I'm writing this review, and why I’ll be raving to anyone who will listen, is Janice.
From the moment we walked in, Janice made us feel like we weren’t just guests at a restaurant, but welcomed friends coming home. She was warm, genuine, and had that rare gift of knowing exactly when to check in and when to step back – a true master of her craft. It's clear she doesn’t just serve tables – she elevates the entire dining experience with her presence alone and makes sure to go above and beyond.
She anticipated our needs before we even voiced them, remembered the tiniest details, and managed to be both professional and delightfully personable.
In a world where service often feels rushed or robotic, Janice was a shining exception – the kind of person who restores your faith in hospitality and humanity. She didn’t just do her job; she made our evening unforgettable.
If you're heading to Rawson, yes, go for the food – it's phenomenal. But more than that, ask for Janice. She’s the heart of the place, and I truly believe she turns a great meal into a world-class experience.
Thank you, Janice – you're an absolute star, this experience will go down as the most unforgettable one I’ve ever had at any restaurant, and it’s all thanks to you.
