Waiting to hear back from head office after Abe the manager verbally abused me for 10 minutes or so in store. It started on the phone, you could tell he was in a mood as soon as he answered, I just wanted to place an order like I usually do and he wanted me to do it online instead but I couldn’t as I was driving. It was centred around that, the most trivial of issues, he wants me to plan ahead and order online instead of ringing, I drive 2 hours and Zeus is the end of my trip and sometimes I don’t know if I am getting it or if I’ll make it till I’m closer, hence ringing. If you don’t do phone orders anymore that’s fine, just let me know, but don’t abuse me over it because you’re too lazy to take an order that way. It then spilled over into my apparent entitlement because I have ā€œcomplainedā€ previously when they have got my order wrong. I have taken photos of the wrong orders to show. The only thing I’m entitled to is the meal I order, when they get it wrong I let them know, respectfully, not sure how it’s an issue? If I ask for no tomato and there’s tomato all through it that’s not complaining, it’s you giving me the wrong order and me asking for it to be fixed within reason. Been coming to the store twice a week for four years and I know the quality of food and service that should be provided. I also occasionally get Zeus from Turramurra or Waverley so am familiar with what the food should look like, quantity (in terms of the size & how full a large tzatziki usually is) and quality. Many great workers over this time Yvensen who moved onto Waverley, Grace, then Sudi & Sim are still there to name a handful. All great people and great service, don’t charge me a cent more or less, I’ve tipped all of them for their service. Abe on the other hand, I had started to avoid going on Tuesdays now because he is there and it’s always unpleasant when he is working. You can tell his workers tread on egg shells around him. I’ve seen him abuse his workers (young guy with long hair & Sudi) when they have got my order wrong before. He doesn’t have to like me, but the customer has to be respected just as the customer has to respect the staff, which I have always done. Never have I abused or yelled at anyone when I have had an issue with food, I calmly ring or take it back in and let them know (with photo evidence). I might be pedantic in the sense I let them know every time an order is wrong but if it’s not wrong in the first place I don’t have to say anything, and it’s actually been fine for a while hence why I was surprised all this came out from him now. Everything seems like such an effort for Abe and he obviously does not enjoy customer service. What I won’t stand for is being abused by the apparent manager of this franchise, an embarrassment to the company how he handles himself. He told me, as I paraphrase, ā€œeveryone who works here hates you, they always talk about you being the difficult one always complainingā€. How mature is that from a 50 year old man to say that to a customer? Comical. Are these cynical jibes supposed to hurt me? I’m just trying to get a feed. The only other employee who wouldn’t be a fan of me is a tall guy who wears his hat sideways, everyone else is great. If the issue is resolved happy to take down the review, but until then he should be exposed for who he truly is.

I stumbled upon this place while wandering along Foveaux Street, it was something of a surprise to me. I must have arrived just prior to the lunchtime rush, consequently service was quite quick and efficient. I ordered a Zeus Pita Wrap, and a piece of baklava for dessert. I hadn't been sitting at my table for more than 2-3 minutes before the food arrived. The Zeus Pita Wrap was delicious, the lamb pieces were very tasty and lightly seasoned. The coleslaw and dressing were also quite nice. The baklava was a nice palate cleanser after the wrap, delicious but not too sweet. The vibe of this place is quite lively, with pop music being played over the sound system, and the manager/head chef yelling instructions to his staff adds a little frenetic energy for good measure. Recommended.

I was enticed to try this place because of the $5 pita birthday special. All pitas were $5 (except the softshell crab, which was $6). This is definitely the right price. Normally, they cost $10-$11. They pitas are delicious; the bread is soft, the sauce is flavoursome and the meat is juicy, but it's so small! It's about half the size of a regular kabab. The orders are processed quickly and service is friendly, but there is no way I'd be paying more than $5 for the meal size. The decor is trendy and clean, and I love the handwashing station that they have in the main area (like some Nando's do).

My wife & I were staying in Sydney for a few nights & we wish we had found Zeus Street Greek sooner. We had the food delivered by Menulog & it arrived very quickly. When I got back to our room we couldn't stop raving about how good the food was. First the pita, we had the Aegean Schnitzel Pita & the Hades Chicken Pita, they looked exactly like the pictures & they tasted so good. We also got Zucchini chips with tzatziki & they were amazing! Such a great option if you don't want the heaviness of potato. As for the price, I found it very reasonable, good luck finding a cheaper option with the same quality as Zeus. For reference, I'm writing this 20mins after finishing my meal & sorry, there are no photos of the food because I was too busy enjoying every...
