QUE DELICIA!! If I could give you 10 stars I would, I have been here in AU for over a decate and this one has been so far THE BEST restaurant who serves Colombian food, it was simply delicious and as close as you can get to typical Colombian cuisine being at the other side of the world. I live out West, I was in the city running errands and really wanted some yummy food, I was greatly surprised when I saw this option in Google Maps, and they were open until late. The place is super cosy and well decorated, just a short walk from Central Station. There are plenty of sitting options inside or outside. Food wise, portions are very generous (real Colombian ones lol) and very well priced for what it is. I had the Bandeja Paisa, and let me tell you, it was divine!!! We also ordered an Ajico, it was delicious, not overly thick or super light, it was perfect. They also have our Helados Caseros, artisan ise cream pops, I had the Mango Viche, and I almost literally cry, some much memore unblocked once I tasted it, it was delicious. Staff was super nice and attentive. I will definitely be back! Una delicia! Gracias...

I visited Tentaciones in Surry Hills, a well-known Colombian restaurant that many people talk about. Curious to try it for myself, I walked in with high hopes.
The menu is extensive and full of tempting dishes. I was particularly interested in the Cazuela de Mariscos, but when I asked the waitress if it had that authentic Colombian flavor I was craving, her response was... unconvincing. Not very enthusiastic. So I switched and ordered the Calentado instead, which looked fantastic in the menu photo — rice and beans, sausage, fried banana, pork belly, and arepa.
Sadly, the taste didn’t match the image. The chorizo was undercooked, the rice had a raw tomato paste flavor, and the arepa was burnt. The pork belly was delicious, but it wasn't enough to save the dish. I ended up leaving most of the plate untouched.
Tentaciones has potential, but in my experience, it fell short of expectations — especially considering how iconic Colombian food is known for bold flavor and passion. A good-looking dish isn’t enough if the taste doesn’t...
Read moreMy wife and I were looking for a place to eat when almost every business in Sydney was closed on Easter Sunday. We thought we'd try some Colombian cuisine after seeing that this place has good reviews, and was one of the few restaurants open.
We could instantly tell the place is authentic upon seeing their clientele. The bandeja paisa and the mondongo were really good. If you've never had Colombian food before, the iconic bandeja paisa is a good dish to start with. Their homemade chilli sauce made with seven types of chillies added the right amount of "kick". They have both indoor and outdoor seating; we opted for outdoor seating since the weather was mildly warm.
Unfortunately they ran out of guarapo de piña, so I opted for the limonada de panela that the waiter recommended. We paid 67.00 AUD in total which is a fair price considering we left feeling full and very satisfied.
I live in Melbourne so unfortunately it would be quite some time until I eat here again, so if I ever revisit Sydney I’m...
