Went here on a Thursday night after dinner for korean dessert.
We shared an earl grey & fig cake, matcha toast, and black sesame Bingsu. I also had a black sesame latte, and my friends had an ice matcha latte and black sesame latte.
Earl grey & fig cake was ok, the sponge cake wasn't soft so it wasn't anything special. Wouldn't get again.
Matcha toast was indeed my favourite. I've had toast before at several locations, including China, but this place was different as it came out warm & fresh, as in.. crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! Flavours of the matcha & cream were plentiful too.
Black sesame bingsu was the favourite amongst my friends. The black sesame flavour was throughout the whole bingsu, the toppings that came with the bingsu were red bean, injeolmi, black sesame sauce & a scoop of black sesame icecream on top.
The drinks weren't overly sweet like you'd get at most places, which was good. Sweetness was just slight and was perfect to pair with the desserts. As the desserts were already sweet, the drinks were a complement.
I'd recommend going to this place for their toast and bingsu if you're...

Injeolmi bingsu came with a tiny pot of sweetened milk and vanilla ice cream on it, little bits of injeolmi at the side. The insides of the bingsu are generously peppered with grain powder. The bingsu was very fine, not too sweet and had just the right balance for that melt in your mouth flavour burst.
Sweet potato cake was a pleasant suprise. The sweet potato filling was slightly firm, spaced with soft cake layers and the whole cake covered in fresh sweetened soft whipped cream. The cake and fillings didn't taste sweet, most of the sweetness came from the topping. The mix of gently sweet, melt in your mouth soft and lightly firm was heavenly. It hit all the right cake spots for us.
These guys have some balls to open a place offering bingsu just a few doors down from the famed and long standing Hanabing, and they've got the goods to back it up. We'll be...

We came here after a long day and ordered matcha lattes from their menu.
Two of our friends had gastric acid and trying to recover from their stomachache, so we mixed some some stomach medicine (antacids) and electrolytes with tap water.
Instead of approaching us politely or with any kind of understanding, the male worker chose to shout at us in front of other customers over a "no outside food or drinks" policy-despite the fact we weren't bringing in outside meals or snacks, just trying to help someone feel better.
We completely respect house rules, but what was lacking here was basic professionalism and hospitality. A calm, respectful conversation would've gone a long way, but he chose to scream at us.
Disappointed by the way we were treated.
Not a place l'd recommend if you value kindness or...
