Bonsai — Restaurant in Innsbruck

I don’t understand how this place remains open. This was by far the worst sushi experience in my entire life. The quality of the food was repulsive. I had the sushi mix, for which I paid 28€, and my friend the warm rolls. The sushi was served on a small ceramic tray that had been prepared possibly 2 days ago. The ginger had brown tones on the edges, and the fish was not only not fresh, but also was being kept at a warm temperature, so that the salmon had two tones of rose - cooked and not cooked. The other fishes were simply dull and warm. When confronted with my complaint, the waitress said she would only give me the pieces I had not eaten and the chef prepared new pieces with same warm fish, that I also did not eat. We paid 84€. Luckily, I didn’t suffer any type of food poisoning, but I wonder how the Austrian food inspection lets these places serve food without proper cooling systems, and without any basic knowledge of cuisine and service. To be honest: One of the baddest sushi experiences since a long time.

The staff was very unfriendly, did not speak german very well, did not gave right answers and was literally on the phone behind the bar.

The sushi itself, was quite good. We ordered 4x8 pieces of sushi and unfortunately got 2 wrong dishes. As we told the staff this, they only andwered "okey, we are sorry but the kitchen is already closed." We ate the dishes, but as you can see, we weren't very satisfied.

Coming to the atmosphere, first it was calm and not very stressed out. But if you sell exclusive sushi and asian dishes its not a very warm welcome that kids are running and...

First time: Food was delicious! (Soups) You can even see how your dish is getting ready, because kitchen is located just behind a guests which is great. Food was served very fast. We had a nice time here. Second time: Asked specifically for a not spicy soup, but at the end it was so spicy that it was burning in my mouth.
