If I could give Café Manna zero stars, I would. My experience was nothing short of a nightmare. First off, the prices are criminally overpriced. I could have flown back to the UK and enjoyed a five-course meal for what they charged me for a sad excuse of a sandwich and a cup of coffee.
The service? An absolute trainwreck. The blonde waitress was not just unhelpful; she was downright rude. I thought I had walked into a scene from a bad reality show. When I asked about the long wait, she rolled her eyes as if I had just insulted her intelligence. It took so long for our food to arrive that I could’ve written a novel in the time it took—seriously, it was as if the kitchen was located on another continent.
When the food finally arrived, it was colder than a polar bear’s toenails. I could hardly believe they sent it out like that. And to make matters worse, I found a hair in my meal. I don’t know if it belonged to the chef or the waitress, but either way, it was a delightful surprise I could have done without.
Oh, and let’s not forget the mouse that darted across the floor, sending my dining companion into a panic. It scurried right by our table as if it owned the place. I half-expected the staff to give it a menu.
To top off this disaster, when I got the bill, they had overcharged me significantly, and not a single apology was offered for any of the horrendous service or food. It’s astonishing how a place can manage to get everything so wrong. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Café Manna; your wallet and your sanity...
Read moreHere’s some constructive feedback on my dining on December 26 around 2pm. I would have otherwise spoken to the manager but it was very busy and there was a language barrier. All the staff that came across me were friendly with the exception of the lady with dark hair at the front entrance, slightly chubby, who was working by the coffee/pastry station. She rudely pointed to her staff “kollege?” and refused to spend the time to communicate and try to understand what I wanted. Turns away while I tried to ask her nicely for where to wait for a table. On the other hand, the dirty blond lady also working at the coffee station was way nicer and pointed me into the dining room.
Suggestions: there should be a sign at the front entrance (multiple languages) pointing towards the restaurant for seating and dine in. At the secondary door to the dining room there should be either a host/hostess or another sign to tell people either to “wait to be seated / or sit yourself”. As I stood there for a few minutes trying to make eye contact with a staff waiting to sit me.
The gentleman with the black vest and glasses was calm and friendly even though he seemed like the only server on the floor for a while. The lady in her 60s tried her best and was very attentive...
Read moreBottom line: we left embarrassed and unhappy with the food. Cannot recommend.
We were looking forward to a good afternoon coffee outside on the terrace after a great day in Innsbruck and this place seemed nice. My sister went in to ask if we order inside or just wait at the table outside. She went in, then came out later embarrassed because the three staff she asked looked at her, shook their heads and walked away from her. We later found a waiter and they told us to wait outside. After 20 minutes the waiter came and asked for our orders. The table next to us (our friends) raised their hands for service and our waiter scolded them, they had to wait. I don’t think the staff care about new customers, are perfectly comfortable with the customers they already have, and so we will not be back and cannot recommend.
Reviewing purely for food I’d give maybe 3 stars. Just expect the service I...
