All'angolo — Restaurant in Salzburg

DANGER!!! BEAWARE!!! This place is ridiculous to go and visit… I have had a worst experience in my life in this restaurant. I went in the restaurant and we ordered some sphagetti with tomato sauce for my 3 year old son and risotto. The guy bring penne with tomato sauce instead of spaghetti. I ask why did you get me penne when i ask for spaghetti and he said because we dont have any. I said you can take it back if you want because my son wants spaghetti. He then went and change it and got spaghetti and acted like he has done a favour to us. I was really shocked to see he was lying at first. Afterwards we finished the food and I asked for bill. This person said 0.5% for using visa card which is not even mention anywhere. I didnt say a word and thought ok i will pay it. He then comes with the bill and loudly reminded me that i havent added the tip. I said ok. In my mind i was thinking to tip him in cash as i had change. I am tapping the card for payment and then he started SWEARING at me when i am with my little son. Worst in my life. He then ask me to leave the restaurant. Very Bad experience. I am the visitor here and actually I was very shocked with the way he behaved. My son was actually scared to go to any restaurants in Salzburg. My appeal to everyone to avoid this restaurant at all the cost. This guy is not worth spending a penny on. I would suggest the owner to close it down rather then keeping staff like...

One of the worst experiences I have ever had in Salzburg!!! In term of service, we came with a reservation for 3 people for dinner. Initially, they offered us a tiny square table in the corner, next to other table, which had no space for 3 people to comfortably sit, let alone how we could fit things we ordered. The restaurant was even more than half empty, plus I see no “reservation” side, I’ve asked the staff to move us to a bigger table. The staff said no immediately and told us that they were fully booked. (Strange but okay) Funny enough, just after we placed our order (a big entree for 3 to share, 3 mains and a bottle of wine), they suddenly had a big table available and told us immediately to move to that table. It is completely ridiculous they way they treated the guests!! Moving on to the food, I personally ordered this pasta that you could see in the picture. This one was supposed to be pasta with mushrooms and truffle, as it stated on the menu. But have you seen any truffle here? Absolutely not right?! Please avoid this restaurant at any cost!!!! There are way more restaurants that have better food, more affordable and genuine service in Salzburg...

We had such a lovely dinner at All'angolo! Possibly the best overall dining experience of all our years living in Europe. The food was delicious of course, and the wine tasty, but it was the atmosphere that made the experience so wonderful. We dined on a Friday evening, and we were glad we made a reservation. Our host/waiter (maybe he was the owner?) spoke confident, fluent English, German and Italian and he welcomed us as if we were the people he had been waiting for all week. The restaurant was full of relaxed and happy people of all ages, and their dogs, enjoying a lovely dinner at the end of the week. As I said, the food was fresh and delicious (though the pasta was not homemade. No problem though, it did not take away from the meal), and although we did not get pizza, a lot of people sitting around us did and it looked amazing.
