Cafe am Kai — Restaurant in Salzburg

I have one of my worse service experiences in this cafe . The waiter served me the wrong dessert, which I had pointed on the menu As I do not speak German. when I went to paid , after the waiter asked me to pay by cash In a very aggressive manner , I mentioned that the bill was incorrect and she became very rude demanding the payment, “ she had served me what I ordered “ , I was so shock by her actitude that I settled the bill and I left. She seemed a person that does not deal with tourist in a professional and polite manner. It is a pity that This issue left on my a bad impression on my last day on such a beautiful city. I will not recommend this cafe to anyone that does not speak fluent German and can answer firmly the abuseve behaviour of this waiter

He tenido una de mis peores experiencias de servicio en este café. La camarera me sirvió el postre equivocado, que había señalado en el menú, ya que no hablo alemán. Cuando fui a pagar, después de que la camareta me pidiera que pagara en efectivo de una manera muy agresiva, mencioné que la factura era incorrecta y ella se volvió muy grosera exigiendo el pago, "me había servido lo que pedí". Conmocionada por su actitud liquide la cuenta y me fui. Parecia una persona que no trata a los turistas de manera profesional y cortés. I recently had breakfast at Cafe am Kai, and while the food was okay, the customer service left a lot to be desired. As someone who works as a waiter, I understand how challenging the job can be, but the way we were treated was unacceptable.

Our server constantly rushed, which made it nearly impossible for us to ask for anything. We wanted to order a cold drink, but every time she approached our table, she would quickly walk away while talking, leaving us no opportunity to speak up.

To make matters worse, there were numerous bees swarming around us and even landing on our food. While I understand that this can be difficult to control, we had to use the menu to try and shoo them away. After we finished eating, the server abruptly snatched the menu from my hand and snapped, "Please don’t play with the menu, it is expensive." I was shocked by her tone and tried to explain that we were just trying to keep the bees away, but she had already walked off once again. The entire exchange felt degrading and disrespectful.

In summary, while the food was fine, the poor customer service overshadowed...

One of the waitresses taking care of our table was rude and kept on giving us unnecessary passive-agressive comments. We were respectful and patient with our questions and order, but this wasn't reciprocated. Their impatience even resulted in some mistakes in our order. When paying we asked to see the bill before paying and they refused!!!! Who does that? They said "do you want to pay or not?!" It's only fair to look at the bill before paying never seen this in any restaurant before!!! (Which is why I'm putting only a single star) Food was overpriced for the portions you get (see attached picture for a 3.80 € portion of hummus). We were there for breakfast and the only option that seemed worth the price was the "indulgence breakfast". Quality of the food is good to be fair. Atmosphere is also good. It's warm inside and there's music outside with a nice view...
