The Glass Garden — Restaurant in Salzburg

Glass Garden is an excellent fine dining restaurant. The whole experience was great, the staff was super friendly and explained every dish, the decor and interior are ellegant, the view is simply the best I’ve ever seen in any restaurant.

The food was very good, interesting combinations and the perfect balance between local, traditional and modern. The pairing with wine was definitely worth it and nicely elevated every dish.

We parked the car at the bottom of the hill and walked for about 10 minutes up hill to the restaurant. Easy walk and spectacular view.

The reason I am giving 4 stars is because i was very thirsty for a few hours after having the meal which made me realize that the food there was over salty. Another reason is that they moved my plate away while I was still eating which I believe it was a mistake from the waiter but still an unpleasent experience.

Hands down the best gem in Salzburg! Elegant, high quality food, and the friendliest most competent staff, EVER! If you have a special occasion or want to take a partner to a secluded gem with a gorgeous interior and view, The Glass Garden is absolutely what you’re looking for. I was there for my 30th birthday and the staff were extremely friendly and surprised me with a cake and candle which made my day even more special! I would recommend taking the Tasting menu with 8 course and pair it with a wine course, their wine picks are phenomenal! You might think the portions are small in such places but they were very generous with the food you’ll actually leave with a full stomach! I had an excellent experience at the glass garden. I was almost shocked to find that a Michelin starred restaurant offered a tasting menu for as low as 76 euro! That was the price of the vegan tasting menu, which i certainly recommend. 3 courses plus one dessert, an incredible experience and so many wonderful tastes. We were also lucky that the chefs provided us with additional small plates, each better than the last. They brought out us with a series of creamy, often green dishes that had completely different and complex flavors. Almost every time i had to remind myself they were vegan!! Definitely the best vegan dinner i have ever had. Also, both the alcohol free pairing and the alcohol (-full) one were worth their price (less than 40 euro).
