What an experience that was! First of all, we didn’t make a reservation, yet the staff helped us out and showed us to a table within the first 5 minutes we got there.
The waiter proposed we should try the special seasonal dish, which was a mushroom soup -like dish. Furthermore, not only he was kind, friendly, good-humoured and helpful, but also educated us about that mushroom species. The dish was stunningly delicious.
5/5 for service.
We ordered two more dishes. The tomato - coconut soup, which was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had abroad and the roasted pork belly. Both of them were so tasteful it made our mouths explode with delight.
Last but not least, we got the warm chocolate cake for dessert, which was also fine but not as much exciting as the rest of the dishes.
5/5 for the food.
If you ever find yourself in Salzburg, you should prioritise dining there!
Thank you for the experience Fuxn!
P.S. The beer was amazing too! The waiter guided me through the process of choosing the one that served my taste buds the best.
P.S.2. The waiter was a cheerful tall guy with glasses resembling Randy Blythe from Lamb of God 😝 I forgot to ask about his name so I can give a reference, but this guy was fricking...
Read moreWe arrived and didn’t have a reservation. Louis (we discovered later was the chef and the boss) escorted us to the bar and assured us that he would find a table for two for us.
We had a drink at the bar then Louis got our attention and escorted us to our table. We chatted about the history of Fuxn and he told us more about the menu.
We both had beef broth with cheese dumplings, on Louis’ recommendation. It was delicious - clearly the best we had ever tasted.
Then we had cordon bleu and pork belly. Wow - both meals were sumptuous.
Together we had a glass of white wine and two local beers. The entire meal was fantastic and very reasonable.
Hannah was a great waitress and, along with Louis’ advice and meal recommendations, our evening at Fuxn was terrific.
Great atmosphere and a warm environment.
I’m not sure what issues Daniel really had 3 weeks ago but our dining experience was fantastic.
Thanks Louis and...

Food was exceptional for an authentic pub like meal to be honest. Wurst with mash and a chicken salad and quite a few beers.
Reasonably priced for the venue.
Dog friendly, plenty of outdoor seating and had a great vibe.
Only minor issue we had was we sat down initially on some tables in the shade only to be completely ignored by the staff. Assuming this may not be table service I walked in and requested a menu. I then walked back to order and was told that the seats we were sitting isnt open. (No signage, no delineation of different areas/ropes or anything)
So I ordered to another table and whipped over to my wife to move tables before someone claimed the table. I also informed 3 other groups who were waiting service to move into the served area.
Again; very minor inconvenience as I loved everything about Fuxn...
