Mr. Wen — Restaurant in Salzburg

I'm sorry to leave a bad review. Firstly, the food itself was totally fine (wok tofu).

I had to wait 15-20 min for my meal after they took my order and I paid because they forgot about me. When I was the only one left in the restaurant they noticed me again, and they asked me again what I ordered.

The chef asked me why I waited so long. But it's confusing, how am I supposed to know how long it takes. By the end I was really hungry.

Also he took the ingredients with his bare hands, I'm not sure if that's the most hygienic (I don't know how it's done in kitchens though).

However, I found a sliver of aluminum(?) In my meal at the end. It was shiny and extremely hard but bendable. I showed the chef and told him to watch out, at first he tried telling me it's a vegetable. This is really dangerous though, aluminum is highly toxic to humans and now I don't feel good about having eaten there (if I ingested any without knowing :/)

The cashier said sorry at the end, and did check up on me before (just asked about food). However, it would have been much nicer if they offered something like a drink or so for the wait, and the aluminum.

Overall though the 2 people were so friendly and smiley, which made for a pleasant atmosphere. It would just be much better if they knew more how to resolve conflict, and also prevent it in the first place.

So sadly I can't really recommend this place for the health...

We first discovered Mr Wen when we walked by the restaurant and saw a customer looking so happy with his food. As a Singaporean Chinese, i am quite skeptical about the quality of Chinese food in Europe, but decided to try one day when we only have an hour for dinner as we have a concert at Mirabelle gardens nearby. Although the prices at Mr Wen is very affordable, the interior of the restaurant is clean, classy and restaurant worthy with exotic Mandarin pop songs in the background providing ample atmosphere. And the food! We tried the sweet and sour chicken, an alternative to the classic sweet and sour pork and it was the best sweet and sour chicken i have ever tasted. We went back...

Extremely rude staff. I didnt order any food because of that. Asked one man behind the counter if I could use the toilet beforehand and he gave me directions to a very dirty toilet. Afterwards the boss screamed at me where I was with another waiter joining in and said I need to ask him for the toilet. Confused I told him I asked his collegue so he spoke with him in mandarin and I thought great he is gonna clear it up. But nope the guy lied or forgot about something that happened literally 2 min ago. So I didnt even bother to order anything. Try to be friendly to your customers they are...
