Great: the chicken spring rolls, all the vegetables were very fresh (also in the red curry with chicken ) Too bad: the curry sauce tasted bland, the very recognizable beep of the microwave oven Atmosphere: this used to be a cafe (/bar?) in half of the premises, you see empty vitrines and glasses…(maybe it will be renovated sometime later?). Die Rezessionen müssen doch gekauft sein!

Man kommt rein und hat das Gefühl in einer alten Bäckerei oder Eisdiele zu sein. Alles schaut alt und alles andere als einladend aus. Ich ließ mich von den top Bewertungen blenden und blieb dort, obwohl NIEMAND da war. Und dies um 12:30 Uhr!

Es scheint eine ein-Mann-Bude zu sein. Der Kellner ist auch der Koch. Somit ist er immer nur vorne, wenn er nichts zubereitet. Die Zubereitung dauerte nur knappe vier Minuten. Bestellt habe ich Reisbandnudeln (total durchgekocht und fad) mit Hähnchen (geschmacklos und wie gummi) mit Gemüse (die Möhrchen waren hart und nicht kaubar und sonst gab es nur Brokkoli) und Erdnusssoße (fad, süßlich, nicht im Ansatz mit Erdnussgeschmack). Oben drauf waren noch ein paar echte Erdnüsse.

Ich wurde weder nach einer Vorspeise, noch nach einem Getränk gefragt. Nachdem ich das Gericht genannt habe, ging er direkt nach hinten und kam erst mit dem Essen zurück. Danach habe ich ihn nach ca. 7 Minuten, vor dem Tresen wartend, wieder gesehen.

Ich habe nicht einmal die Hälfte im Ansatz gegessen. Der Kellner/Koch fragte weder wie es geschmeckt hat, noch ob alles in Ordnung war. Er wusste schon warum.

We are big fans of Vietnamese food and the dishes we had at NGON were some of the best we’ve tried. We had the summer rolls, cucumber salad and the chicken pho. I highly recommend all of those, especially the pho. The decor and atmosphere was also lovely, with handmade paintings on the walls and nice music. This was a stand out meal on our trip to Austria and I’m so glad we stopped...
