Sottiles Latin Cocktailbar — Restaurant in Salzburg

I celebrated my birthday two weeks ago at this amazing bar, a Latin American gem in the middle of Salzburg with the most talented and coolest Mexican Bartenders in town! I found this place by chance after a friend told me that they had a nice time at a bar on this street. It turned out that it was not this one but I feel like I hit the jack pot!
The drinks were fantastic in quality and taste, an instant time travel experience to Latin America! We especially liked the two versions of Pisco Sour, the spicy Margherita, the good quality of the tequila shots and the Punch. The atmosphere and the music were phenomenally matching my taste and felt like home to me (I’m from the Mediterranean) and my guests enjoyed their time there laughing, celebrating, and dancing. The bartenders were very attentive and accommodating, they asked us on food allergies and whether we would prefer other versions of our drinks. All my guests loved the place and texted me the day after that we should visit again soon! We had complementary shots and I got to hear a song of my choice due to being my birthday celebration. After a great week in Salzburg with amazing people and experience, we visited Sottiles for a drink just before getting back to our Hotel. The experience just ruined our whole day.

We requested for an outside seating (before 11PM), was asked to sit inside. After 10 minutes, the owner/ bar tender served menus to a new group outside. The owner mentioned about rules in Salzburg, why is this not for everyone.

After waiting for 5-10 minutes for someone to serve us. They randomly gave us a 0.2 L beer. When i had specifically asked for a large beer.

Very rudely asked my wife to remove her bottle of water from the table. We were taken aback and dint know why this was done. From the restaurants response they assumed it was alcohol, they should have checked with us on the same. (Image of bottle attached).

The place was really nice, and the bartender’s service was excellent. He spoke fluent English without any problems. We had several drinks and were impressed by the wide selection of tequilas and rums – from affordable options to top-shelf quality. The bartender's knowledge about alcohol was amazing; I’ve never tasted tequila that good before. The bar even offers tequila tastings, which is a great touch. He also took a photo of me and my friend while we were doing a shot – we had such a great time. We could even ask for shots that weren’t on the menu.
