This has got to be one of the most authentic Italian places in AT I've seen, right in the heart of Vienna. I apologize in advance for the poor photo quality, once again the lighting was not my friend.
The service was commendable. From the beginning we were welcomed very warmly, our dishes were served quickly and hot and one of the waiters was quite witty and had a sense of humor.
We ordered an assortment of antipasti, which the four of us shared. The waitress brought one dish too many that we didn't order, but they noticed and just gave it to us for free, which I think was a nice gesture. Everything was really delicious (we had Burrata, Carpaccio di Manzo, Vitello Tonnato, and as I said, coincidentally the Antipastomisto All Italiana).
For the main course I had spaghetti carbonara and I snagged some of the tagliatelle scampi gamberetti from my s/o. Both were really good. The cured pork in the spaghetti had an immensely delicious flavor, the size was just perfect, and the tagliatelle had plenty of shrimp and prawn (which is often not a given). The Neapolitan pizza that a friend of ours had was also very good. Had we not had so many appetizers, I would have opted for a tiramisu for dessert.
The prices are not exactly cheap, but all in all I can only recommend to give Amore della Mutti a try, it is...
Read moreAlthough we arrived without reservation, the greeter organised a table for us. That was kind. However, after that our waitress seemed to be totally lost and I guess she forgot our order. Despite the table next to us arrived after us their order arrived before us and our order arrived after reminding and almost at the same time as the next table departing. Unfortunately, the pizza was not that good, especially the crust. It was not crusty and not as advertised on the Google pictures. Another waitress afterwards took care of us and apologised for the situation. She told that there was a situation with their chef. Although the ingredients of the pizza was quality ones, it was obvious that the chef was not specialised at cooking of pizza. The chocolate mousse was outstanding and it was offered as courtesy of the situation. Thanks for that. Sorry, but under the circumstances and our experience I can only give 3 stars. I think that they need to take good care to their...
Read moreWe stumbled upon Amore della Mutti by chance during our trip to Vienna, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! We ordered the Pizza Funghi to share, and the staff kindly served it already split onto two separate plates — a thoughtful touch that speaks volumes about their service.
The pizza was simply outstanding — in fact, it was the best we had during our entire 15-day European tour, even better than what we tasted in Italy! The crust was perfectly baked, the toppings were fresh and flavorful, and the homemade lemonade paired beautifully with the meal — light, smooth, and refreshing.
The service was exceptional. The staff were genuinely attentive and warm, making us feel very welcome. It’s rare to find such a combination of excellent food, friendly service, and affordable pricing in a major city like Vienna.
If you’re visiting Vienna, don’t miss this gem. Amore della Mutti truly deserves...
